I would like to use it to remotely check my battery status, is it as bad as the reviews?

If it doesn’t show on the option plaque in the frunk than you don’t have it and your car isn’t capable of displaying the info on the all. Very few 22 had that option.
If you have your build sheet handy it will tell you ... or look back through your order specs.... you don't need access to your car!
The dealer told me but they do not know when it will become available .and for which models. I suppose the first will be for sure the ones already in production.
I have an Android phone. A Mac desktop with an M1 chip and latest OS. My build sheet does not show that I have the "required" spec on my '23. The Connect part of the app is installed/working on my phone. PM for step by step.
