I think Ferrari could've walked this championship but chose to give it to others for the fans sake... And it shows by the new contracts Williams and Toyota have with Bridgestone.... If they are so bad, how come they switched tires?

yup..........totally agree............they also let other folks win the title for 21 years straight so that fan interest would grow before Schumacher came along.

This kind of post I am sure is giving Imperial all sorts of ideas !

Ha! I was thinking about Imp when I saw the title. "This is the greatest season in Ferrari history, had they chosen to win!"

It's because some teams want to get on the B'stone bandwagon before they end up the sole supplier in 07.

Not to mention Mich. has made it clear they want to drop teams before next year. I would switch too if my supplier was pulling this crap.

I don't think B'stone is going to make much of a come back in 06.

Actually he's probably right. They're throwing the races so they can get a higher draft choice next spring...

I hear if the top team from the last year doesn't get a certain number of points that they get to race for free in the next season.

I'm not sure, but there has been talk that the problems weren't all Bridgestone- the Ferrari this year just wasn't good enough either. The thinking is that Bridgestone will take the sole supplier position in 2007 if it is offered- Edouard Michelin has said his company is not interested in non-competitive supply.

Actually Ferrari has not done well enough to fight for glory this year nor havent they done poorly enough to warrant a third car for Friday for next season :(

Ferrari WAS sandbagging last year. This year, look at the faces. If they could, they would.
