Tom there is a huge ferrari festival May 10th in Fuji Speedway. I will be running my car. Come if you can, bring your camera. I will post pics here too.
Just came back from Nagoya and thought I would post some pics here... on the way to Super Autobacs we passed by this, LIGHT AUTO; just have to pay a visit! Japanese people are well kind and courteous, maybe it helps that we have a Japanese speaking driver! One of the staff showed us around and even open up the Mclaren for us!!! First time I get that close to one, the asking price of that one is 300M yen!!!! Speechless..... The market is "glutted" (ample) w/ exotics. Got to watch out for high end ones like F50 et al because there are some that are stolen cars imported from abroad. Many of these dealers are unaware, meaning they do not know what they are selling. w/ smiles Jimmy

I just got back from Japan today. Went to Kyoto and drove around to a couple of Onsens (ran into Yakuza at one). Extremely beautiful countryside. Made all the more beautiful by my sighting of an Alfa Romeo 8C!!! I saw it traveling in the opposite direction as I was being shuttled back to Kansai airport. That's 2 out of 500. And I saw a yellow 360 at a used car lot next to Hanazono station. But how one maneuvers a Ferrari around some of the tight, narrow local streets is beyond me. And I saw a Hummer! That's gotta have very limited access to areas of the city. Just doesn't make sense really.
Great to hear you had a great time here in Japan. One of the nicer and pleasant seasons to visit. Sounds like you did not go thru Tokyo this time. If you did,need4speed, certain part of this metropolis is filled w/ more foreign exotics than domestic cars. Just as you were perplexed, this country is full of "doesn't make sense" dichotomies. Ahhhh, Pacific Palisades,...as a student in architecture at University of Southern California back then, still remember went to see exotic homes there. Next time you comke thru Japan, you're welcome to look me up. w/ smiles Jimmy
Yo Jimmy, I was actually thinking of you while I was there, my fellow Dino Bro. My wife's family live in Kyoto. But if we ever make our way to Tokyo, I'll definitely let you know. I'd love to see your Dino in person. Take care and have fun.
