I'm considering purchasing a Ferrari "jumbo" watch. Does anyone know the quality of these watches? Are they decent quality that will last years or is this just a fad watch that will not work in a year or two and get tossed in the dresser?

    Thanks.

From what I can tell, quality is spotty. You are buying a cool looking piece rather than an horological masterpiece.

That said, I don't have one but wouldn't mind it. I just have no use for a plastic 50meter quartz. At 100meer, I'd be sold.

for a $100 watch, the quality is excellent.

    Unfortunately, they cost about $400.

Having said that, I like the new one. good size, good looking piece, but, the quality is a bit spotty.

Ferrari Store at least has a two year warranty on them now.

I like mine. Seem nice for a $250 watch even. Unfortunately dm is DREAMING... With current exchange rates and shipping try $525!!! It is probably NOT a $525 watch frankly, but it is cool and I like the size of this one and again the workmanship seems fine but certainly not outstanding. That said, they will sell EVERY SINGLE ONE THEY MAKE without even trying!

    YMMV,

i bought one this summer, while i was on holiday in Italy, at the Ferrari store in Maranello they only had the red one you can buy on the internet website ferraristore.com so i had to go to the Ferrari Store in Venice to buy a yellow one, since that day, i wear it everyday everytime without trouble, if you have a trouble with the price, stop collecting Ferrari stuff right now, Ferrari earn more money selling licensed stuff than selling cars, so the range and the price of licensed stuff will increase in the following year, and as some one said, even at that price it's the best selling article on the ferrari website

Good watch, bad watch, you would still get a lot of attention.
