    Are these brass? I recently bought a door key for my 308 GTS from overseas on eBay and it was steel. Key cutters won't cut steel blanks. Ruins their cutters.

    They're brass. Original Niemans ARE steel and locksmiths test for them with a magnet--my locksmith refuses to cut steel blanks.

    Locksmiths will cut steel blanks, they just want a bunch of money to pay for the used up cutters.
