The Ferrari LaFerrari is without question one of the most extreme and beautiful cars on the planet. With production limited to just 499, it's always a treat when one comes in the shop. XPEL San Antonio got the chance to protect this stunning red LaFerrari with our top of the line XPEL ULTIMATE paint protection film clear bra.

This material is an 8.5mil polyurethane film that is durable against rock chips, bug guts, and more. Backed by our 10-Year warranty, you'll never have to worry about yellowing, hazing, peeling, cracking, and more.

We protected the: full hood, front fenders, front bumper, lower front bumper, doors, mirrors, headlights, roof, and full rear bumper. Click the link to watch the installation video in 1080P.

Very nice and interesting video but I have a silly question.
Why is the installer wearing his metallic watch while doing the job ?
He is at times less than one inch from the paint surface. Why risk scuffing the clear coat of the car ?

I am sure it is a wonderful product (the Xpel ) but I find it a little bit ridiculous to cover the carefully applied paintwork!

Similar to cover your sofa and setee with a clear plastic cover.

This is the first time I have heard of covering what appears to be the entire car.

I can understand covering the parts that are prone to road debris damage. People do that because they intend to put serious mileage on the car and it's a good way to prolong the life of the original finish.

I've asked myself that about a thousand times. I always got the sense that it was something to protect the investment of a Ferrari (or any car). So you cover it in a clear film, protect the paint, and sacrifice some of the beauty. It's not a view that I share (the Ferrari is mine, and I will drive it and get paint chips to my heart's content), but I think it's a fairly popular view.

That being said, I think XPEL makes some pretty good stuff, and the cars they do are always pretty great. Worth researching if you are at all worried about damaging your paint for resale value.

Think of the protection like a condom. Protects against future expenses, but has some negative aspects.
