You pay for the carbon fibre chassis, not for bling!!! Unfortunately it is turbocharged but you can't have them all...
Is it just me, or is has this thread strayed pretty far from relating to LaFerrari? Maybe all this McL vs. Porsche stuff merits a thread of its own.
This prototype was built as close to the production model as possible but it was heavier because of all the testing equipments fitted to it. So those weight savings were made to try and get it back to the original weight.
yeah, right. why the first time out this wasn't necessary then? and why all other manufacturers don't do the same? who told you this? are you just making it up?
Only because there has been very little LaFerrari actvitity....aside from occasional sightings... P1 & 918 are in production; LaFerrari isn't scheduled for delivery until early 2014
No I'm not making this up buddy. All manufactures pull little tricks like this and we never get to know about them. Relax...
Igor, do not get your bowels twisted. You think the McLaren team will break the 918 time because they will remove the wiper system? And maybe they will too change all bolts to hypertitanio, and remove every parts not needed for 1 hot lap, and inject hydrogen instead of oxygen in tyres, and use nitromethane in place of gasoline, and replace glass to polycarbonato, and feed driver strong laxative 1 hour before he attempt the record. And maybe they do the record attempt at night so that nobody can watch. What is your concern? That they will make a impossible lap time for other manufactures to equalise or improve? You say you don't trust McLaren (Racing Team). Well do you trust Ferrari (Road Car) when they provide a car for journalist testing, especially comparison testing? Your horse is very high, come down.
Yeah, right. In McLaren everyone is saint... You think they don't fiddle MP4-12C's when they send it to journalist for testing? Aha...
Yes quite right Hrelja 98, the journalists have applaud Mclaren for there honesty for providing cars exact same as client cars while they hate always the restriction that Ferrari will not let them test customer cars. I know this is true because I have many top motor journalist friends and they all say Mclaren does not play fiddle with there journalist test cars. Everybody at Mclaren is a saint? You are crazy boy! They are ruthless warriors, ready to slaughter overconfident competitors. You are born in 98? You are 15 years old now, almost ready to drive, you can be very happy! You will love to drive, it makes much fun.
McLaren expecting Ring lap record run next week- anticipating to beat the 918 by some margin. Don't read too much into current times.
Funny that Ron Dennis turned McLaren into Mosley when Alonso tried to blackmail him. Funny when the same things happened to Toyota and Renault, no FIA action that should have been the same.
Tony - I almost repeated my earlier post in response to that, but once per thread is adequate I guess. >8^) ER
You are ashame to be British because of that? You are so adorable and naive...why not feel ashame about British Imperialisation when you have invade almost the whole globe, slaving many of the peoples, breaking the culture and forcing your Britishness on them. In Italy we are very proud of our country and our leaders. Look here... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81vQje8bWmo]The best of Silvio Berlusconi - YouTube[/ame]
Let's no get this thread off on a political bent but whilst slavery dates back to Pre Roman times, and indeed practiced on an industrial scale in Italy, it was Britian who lead the war, successfully to ban it. Whilst 'imperialisation' had some negative by products, you forget the positives and if Britain had not happened to be major the Colonising power, others would have, and indeed did, step into the gap, such as Italy did in swathes of Africa. Please don't do a Hollwood on history.
