I think the retro livery available on these cars is rather ridiculous considering this is supposed to be cutting edge hybrid technology

Agree. But that aside... the 918 is the best looking of the bunch.

Don't you think it all depends on what type of experience you're after? I would prefer some cars strictly with paddle shifters, while others only with a manual gear box. If you track your cars than the paddle shifter wins out every time. It also depends on the car. If the car has a ton of electronic assist devises than a peddle shift trans is the way to go. For a more raw experience with a car that's been designed to allows the driver more of a "race car" experience I would think a manual trans would win out. I am talking about your McLaren F1, the CGT, Zonda F, Diablo SE30...Those cars stand out from all the F18 type cars that are made today and are sought after by those who want a certain driving dynamic you can only get from the old school "shift". I don't see the point comparing the two type of transmissions. It's all about preference and the car's design characteristics. Thoughts?

man, that in my opinion has been better than any picture or video ferrari has released of the car, it looks so much better in the real world

    Nit picking here, but...

I'm not liking the (black trim?) seam that crosses the rear wheel arches and continues along the rear lip.

Also not a fan of the wheels at all.

    +1

The wheels especially. On the 918 are 20/21, on the 458 20/20 and on the LaF 19/20.

    WTF?

What??? Pushing a car of that value with no gloves, exposed rings and grubby hands all over the panels? Last time I saw the McLaren P1 getting pushed around, they were all wearing clean suits, white gloves and touching it with obvious respect. Ferrari is really starting to let their public image standards fall and it hurts me to see them losing it.

I agree, the sound is so important on a car like this. A pity they didn't open up the throttle very much, I actually saw a P1 prototype approach a roundabout and exit at high speed while on holiday recently near Barcelona, the booming thunder of it coming made me think the world was coming to an end and the throaty scream of it accelerating made me think the world had exploded. Hair on end and goosebumps don't even come close to describing the sound!

Heehee. But seriously, this is a $1mil+ Hypercar, Burrrrrrb...burrrrb...Vrooee, Vroooooo, Vroooooooeee. They were so slammed with complaints they had to go back and 're-voice' the 12C...and it STILL stinks:) Same engine, same anonymity, only louder. Bleh,.. But whatever right. each owner will think heaven of it...
