it's probably a slightly different or track only version of the car. it certainly can't be driven in the UK on the road with that design

"The Intense Emotion isn’t something you’ll be able to drive on the road, anyway – designed purely for the track, it’s not road-legal, as per the Aston Martin Valkyrie or McLaren P1 GTR."

That Apollo, is too much, it needs more smoothness and less sharpness, but one thing they are doing great and what Ferrari should do, a lightweight no KERS / Hybrid bs Ferrari V12. Imagine a LaFerrari without the +200kg with an 812 engine.

The V12 in the LF makes as much power as the larger one in the 812 and is sharper at the top end, so no 812 engine for me unless it gets reworked of course. But missing the power and instant torque of the electric motor will make such a car slower.

Regarding the Apollo, it's a track car; it can be as wild as it wishes.

Next breed of hypercars starts here? Hope Ferrari can make one look a bit more dramatic though

I believe that this thread is supposed to be about the LaFerrari, the P1 and the 918 and not any random hypercar that might or might not be launched after all. This is a car projected for 2020 for god's sake!

projected for 2020 but the car exists and can be driven.
makes the performance of everything look absolutely awful value for money

A prototype only exists and we have no clue if it even comes close to those absurd performance claims.

The Tesla rollout car is obviously still under development so likely not fully capable of the claimed performance specs.

Aside from lack of sound I think the biggest issue of EVs with a single gear will likely be weird driving dynamics. They'll have to do something similar to the (weird, detached feeling) McLaren super series active suspension to get it to corner fast. You'll probably feel like a passenger in a super fast silent capsule. Notice they only did straight line 0-60 acceleration on the test rides.

I think as time passes the three hybrids look better and more brilliant.

Nice videos of Nick Rosberg really pushing the 918. He seems enamored and says the acceleration feels “the same” as his formula 1 car.

With the addition of electric power, every car maker out there will have a super car in the line up. Unfortunately, supercars will no longer be the product of companies like Ferrari or Lamborghini. Just waiting on the Kia supercar to hit the market with 0-60 times in the 2 second range...

Just a few years passed after their launch and what happened to the qualities of these 3 hypercars as they had been advertised ?
    P918 - Nordschleife Record under 6'
P1 - Track Mode (anybody really used this seriously?)
LaFerrari - being "the Ferrari". (dot)

Years have passed and the market has spoken. LaFerraris are worth more than double either of the other two...

Values are reflective of desirability in this regard not performance. However, yes, in essence I agree.

    p1 was $1.150.000.
918 was $845k for a non Weissach package car.

I think both can be had for $1.5m with some miles.
