What lifestyle? I had a burger for dinner and I have a can of coke in front of me right now in my sweat shirt and underwear. Sorry for the mental image but I think a ferrari lifestyle is non-existant. Oh, I just burped.

Let's just say that the 1/2 hour delay was NOT caused by the fact that Wellington had to start the car himself! If you know what I mean, wink wink!

Chapter 1 - "It was a dark and stormy night..."
The cell phone went off early in his pocket. Fumbling about with his chicken biscuit, he laid it on the dash of his Dodge Dakota as he struggled in traffic on Loop 1604. It was James, the owner of Norwood Performance. "I'm calling to say that your car will take a bit longer as we're having trouble getting some of the parts". It had only been there for 4 months he thought, but that was the Ferrari lifestyle.

As he pulled into the unpaved parking lot by the temporary metal building where he was working, he mused that his order to FML for yet another overpriced out of print Ferrari book in a language he could not read well would be coming soon. That ******* Carbon had sneered at him for not wanting to order the $500 3" x 3" invitation to Enzo Ferrari's great nephew's christening, but his marque enthusiasm could only go so far. At least he would make up for it by finding the semi-automatic antenna replacement from a FerrariChat reference ordered for $10 on the net. Just another part of the Ferrari lifestyle.

His two usual Ferrari Lifestyle dinner companions, MarkPDX and JRamey, each owning a Chevrolet and a Dodge, would be talking about the latest plan to use a pre-paid phone sex card scheme to buy John that nice 360 at Ferrari of San Antonio. Mark would again go on about how he could not get laid by any 19 year old waitresses and that he really needed a cheap Testarossa to achieve orgasm. He was also beginning to get suspicious why all of Mark's money was pre-folded longways. Being the only Ferrari owner, he would keep parts availability complaints to himself, not wanting to burst their bubble at the realities of the Ferrari lifestyle."

Chapter 2 "She calls to say she is pregnant..."

The movie 'Texas Ferrari Lifestyle" will be released soon.
    Preliminary casting:
    SNJ5: Rodney Dangerfield
SFumato: Triumph the Insult Comic Dog
    JRamey: Danny DeVito
    Mrs JRamey: Eva Longoria
    MarkPDX: Ryan Stiles
    Rob Lay: Christopher Walken
Norwood Performance staff: Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane
    FarmerDave: Conan O'Brien
and in a special voice appearance, Gilbert Gottfried as 'Carbon'

Sorry that I just around to this thread, I have been busy having sex with a super model in the back seat of my Ferrari.

Oh wait, that wasn't a super model and my Ferrari doesn't have a back seat.

I guess I'm living the Ferrari lifestyle!

Wish I could have that dream, or at least that kind of money. :D

Anyone here get Fortune? An article from the Oct. 17 issue on the Hyatt hotel chain, I found this funny, "Grand Hyatts should be a hip-hip-hooray," says Chorengal (the head of the international operations for Hyatt), "for people who want to be seen, who want to have fun. They drive a Ferrari, wear a big, gold clunker watch. But if I go to a Park Hyatt, I drive a Mercedes and have more money than the guy in the Ferrari, and my wife dresses in Chanel and likes white want. The guy staying at the Regenecy is Mr. Motorola. He's traveled on business throughout the world and just wants to sit in his room and work all evening long.:

I think the website owner is extremely intelligent. He has managed to generate additional traffic to his site by creating curiosity with the name change. Kudos to them! Well... and Tillman for posting the press release to keep it in the limelight. ;)

Sheeeeit. 'That' site has maybe 6 posts a day, and most of those are by Bart. I'm registered there, but there's really no point. It's another mostly-dead wasteland, like the Ferrari List or alt.autos.ferrari.

I just thought it was a pretty pretentious name change

Agreed. I don't disagree with anything quoted above, but I think the problems you point out are exactly the reason for the pretentious name change.

It's very disapointing to see another Ferrari sight bashed like this. If you don't think your bashing, your mistaken. It may not be as active as F-Chat but its a Ferrari sight non the less and has it's own attributes. Some of the posted lifestyle depictions allthough quite funny are obviously over the top. Though may exist. Rare perhaps, but possible. I too thought the name change was interesting, but what the heck. Is it so hard for you to bevieve that you are allready living the Ferrari Lifestyle? And it's truely not like the blown out of proportion examples given here. Isn't it all about the love of the Ferrari itself, the events you partisipate in, the loving care you give to your Ferrari, sharing your enthusiasm, experiances and knowledge with those who have not yet joined in the fun and showing them that Ferrari owners are really just regular folks and not a bunch of overstuffed asses! And getting together with other Ferrari owners and doing the same? Is this not truely the Ferrari lifestyle? I don't think the name change is anything more than that. The sight has never been anything else. I don't think the content will change. But I hope your attitudes will. Quite childish really. Now...where did I put that glass of bubbly?

    Cheers

    Kurt

Bashing or not, its true, no activity. As for the lifestyle, I guess my girlfriend lives the honda lifestyle because she drives one. You can start labelling everything as a lyfestyle if you like, kinda like saying everyone has some sort of disorder now a days. Who cares?
