Has anyone tried purchasing the rectangular Ferrari lighted sign that's advertised in the Ferrari Club of America National Newsletter? If so, how was the experience?

Yes I bought one ,very nice sign. I actually like it better than the " original " sign. And you can't beat the price.

"Original' Signs are approaching five figures for an undamaged piece (VERY rare, since many were hung outdoors and were of fragile construction). I purchased a sign of resin/plastic construction with a wood inner frame clad in vinyl on the edges. It looks great with a 4-tube backlighting board I made for $50 worth of Lowe's parts-bin electricals.

Nothing beats the look of the original-type signs, in my opinion. Absolutely gorgeous. Here's a pic of mine that I just got a few weeks ago. (an early Holiday gift from my wife; yes, she said it was very expensive).

I've also included a pic of the original signs as they were at the factory in 1989. As you can see, except for the fact that my sign is single-faced, they are virtually identical in size and construction, even down to the crimped metal surround that holds the face to the backing. The stripes, the Cavallino and the lettering are all embossed (3D) and look absolutely great! My wife was told they are made by the original fabricator.
