    Hi again,

We will be having the Ferrari Expo 2014 this year in late March 2014 near Chicago USA. The hope is still to have it the same weekend as the 1/43rd Scale Model Expo on Sunday March 23rd also near Chicago. If everything goes as planned the Ferrari Club Of North America will have the Ferrari Expo on Saturday March 22nd. This date is not firm yet and is still pending approval.

I hope we can see some of you again. We will be having a hand built model contest along with a Carrera Pan Americana 1950-1954 model and art display in 2014. We will also have a large selection of real vintage Ferrari's and 50 plus tables of literature/art and models for sale.

Anyone who has been to the show will attest to the millions of dollars worth of rare vintage Ferrari's, Alfa's, Maserati's and other sportscars always on display at this show. Admission is free and the show is open to the public.

Show will be held at Continental Autosport Ferrari Maserati in Hinsdale Illinois, 15 minutes from O'hare and Midway airports in Chicago USA.

It is confirmed that the Ferrari literature and Art Expo will be on Saturday March 22nd 2014.

This should work nicely with the 1/43rd model show and Unique Events toy fair held the same weekend on Sunday March 23rd. We hope some of you can make it again. Here is the 1/43rd model show flyer. We will have the Ferrari Expo table info posted soon. Countryside is very close to Hinsdale Illinois. Both are only 15-20 minutes from Midway or O'hare airports in Chicago.

A few more photos from previous Ferrari Expo's. I am working on several kits and the Pan Am display for the Expo. I hope we have another good turn out. Mikhail from B&G says he will enter a couple of 1/43rds in the contest. That should make it interesting to say the least!!

That's a Fujimi 1/20th kit. It was super detailed and flown in by a modeler from Mexico City for the show.

Only around 20 days until the Ferrari Expo Chicago. Some nice cars already on hand including several 250 Lusso's, a 166 Vignale and 3 Alfa 1900's(Zagato Alfa 1900 in background). As you can see the dealer is wall to wall sportscars right now.

Also a very rare and very fast vintage Alfa might be on hand if things work out as planned:)

A few 1/24th scale models I am finishing up for the Ferrari Expo...The Vanwall VW5 SPA 1958 winner is based on the FPPM Portugal VW10 kit and the class winning Mille Miglia 1955 Maserati A6GCS is based on the Strada 24 kit.

I remember this show at the Como Inn oh so well. I used to display and sell there every year. That was a wonderful time, and one I truly miss very much. I wish that could be closely replicated in some way.

I think the internet and ebay have really hurt shows like this. They still do have a good turn out of classic cars, but only from the dealers inventory of customer cars and for sale cars. You have to almost turn the show into a concours now to bring people out. The Alfa Romeo T33/3 1971 Sebring nose car was the star this year along with a bunch of classic Ferrari's and Maserati's.

I think the best shows were when Strictly 43rd joined with the Ferrari Club back in the 1990's. The Como show was also very cool right on the edge of the Chicago loop. I will never forget all the ACME storage warehouses around that area full of rare Ferrari's and Alfa's!!
