Can any one advise of any Ferrari mechanics or repair shops within 50 miles around Philadelphia.

Algar is the only authorized dealer and are booked for a while.

    Thanks

The fact that they are booked for a while should tell you something. Do you want to go to a resturant where no one eats or to the one with a long line?

Good people in this business can't take walk ins. It is just the way it is.

In addition, Algar has hands down the best parts department in our area. They have competitive prices and get things to you 1,2,3. Pretty hard to beat, and something that can not be said of some of the other dealers.

I bought my gt4 from them almost two years ago. It had a recent top end rebuild (1000 mi before I bought it ) at Algar by Tony Deremiggio. I drove it 1100 miles home with only a small fusebox issue. When I called the service department to discuss the issue, the service manager ( Mark Cedrone ) put Tony on the phone. He was kinda reluctant at first but when he realized who I was he immediately asked, "How much oil did you use on the trip home?" He was genuinely pleased to hear, "A little over half a quart." He then spent about 10 minutes with me discussing the electrical issue. He gave me very good info that allowed me to repair the problem and it hasn't been an problem since. Though I will someday soon get Birdman's fuseboxes.

In short, they do very good work ( my local mechanic is amazed at how good the engine looks and performs ) and they care. Despite the fact it was "only" a gt4 they treated me like a king. I saw an Enzo in their shop - judging by the work they were doing to it I feel confident it's repair bill exceeded my purchase price, yet like I said I was treated exceptionally well.

Pinnacle Motorsports used Algar as 'first choice' on all parts orders, IIRC....

Ferraris are expensive. Get used to it. I have a local guy who does my inspections, and he takes care of my four other cars. When it comes to the 575M, I go to Algar. Their prices are reasonable, and they stand behind their work.
Expensive? Yeah. This ain't no Chevy. You want it once and right? Use them.
If not, it's your money! Cheers!

I've heard this guy is really good. He works on my friend's mondial cab. Has a collection of some pretty sweet vintage european cars above the garage. He's invovled with putting on the radnor hunt concours as well.

Mike has a great shop and fantastic people working there. They have been working on Ferrari's for the past 20 years or so and if you ask real nice they might even show you the collection upstairs.
