Anyone out there in the Pittsburgh area know of any competent mechanics that also own the computer system for F430 diagnosis?

I posted the same question on another forum.

I'm in Pittsburgh and am looking for an F430. If the OP has an F430, could you contact me? I'd love to check out the car and have a ton of questions.

    Unfortunately, no.

This is a big irritant with me. There should be enough business in Pittsburgh to warrant a dealership here. Your dealer options are MAG in Columbus or Algar in Philadelphia.

I would strongly recommend against the Auto Palace. Either Bobby Rahal Mercedes may be able to help, but won't have full diagnostic equipment.

If you have more luck somewhere, and I hope you do, please post it here.

Auto palace should be able to help.

I am in Milford Pa, maybe too far for you.

I've had very poor experiences with the Auto Palace.

They've been both incompetent and dishonest, and that was for servicing an aircooled Porsche. I actually got into the habit of driving right past them and a further ten miles to Sewickley for my 993 service.

I can't imagine how bad they would be with a car that they don't have parts and diagnostic support for.

    Of course, YMMV.

I bought a new Alfa Spider Veloce from Fuzzy in 1993, back when he (and Alfa Romeo) were at the Auto Palace. He was good to work with, and has no connections with the Auto Palace now.

Fuzzy is a great guy, he may be able to help or at least point you in the right direction.

Here's a place in Sterling, VA. http://ecsofvirginia.com/ It's just down the road from Ferrari of Washington.
I don't have any experience with them other than a few phone calls, but it's closer than Columbus or Philly.

Call the guys at Competizione in Gaithersburg, MD.

    http://www.competizionecars.com/

They are worth the 4 hour drive but are also very helpful on the phone.

You will find nothing but rave reviews about them on this site..

That's 230 miles away from Pittsburgh, while Columbus is 180 miles away.
