    MvT is a long-time member and knows what he's doing. If he said the hella 001 unit worked, I'd take his word for it.
    And if you can find one for $50, that's a pretty low risk bet!
    I just did a quick search and there's a lot of them available for that price.

    I have no doubt it will work as he took the time to even pulish that on hits usefull site.... my question was more regarding some spiritual mandate of knowing :)

    Its very rare there are no specs on these items, like timing, amperage, resistance, etc... aslo checked a lot of sites, and the 001 is corss-referenced to BKL2xx... not BKL3xx

    So the question could be, whats the difference between Magneti Marelli BKL2 and BKL3.. will keep googling :)

    looks the important thing here is 1 Coil, 2-3 Ground, 4 12v positive and 6 trigger

    Hella 001 has a Tach output that could be ignored and the only difference is the pin5, that is G+.. another ground... probable ignored too....

    so yes, it should work
