Hi Ron - been so busy over recent weeks, I've only just caught up on this post and your venture. With one distinctly tatty pillar and another looking tired, I was hugely excited by your progress and was disappointed to read about the lack of sales. Agree with many of the supporting comments here and I for one fall into the category of "definitely will buy when budget allows". Budget will allow in approx. 6 months time, so I keep my fingers crossed that the venture continues. I won't for one minute offend you with the concept of a reservation, but I promise a pair will be bought in early 2016.
It might help us folks across the pond if you could estimate European shipping when you get a moment.

Thanks for the dogged determination to see this through Ron, and I do think you should make the likes of EuroSpares aware perhaps?

Am really happy with Ron's B-pillars. Highly recommended. Even if you don't need to fit them now, having a spare set protects you when (not if) you will.

I also bought Ron's cabriolet roof fasteners - no need to fit them now, but at least I have them when the need arises after I break one.

As the B-pillars are no longer available from the factory, I recommend you take advantage of availability now from Ron - there may come a day when he no longer has any more of them.

I should update this thread (I had on another similar one) based on my post a couple above.
I bought both the pillars and latches from Ron. Hugely impressed with both and agree with the post above on having them simply as spares.

I'm down to my last pair if anyone is interested.
I can't say for sure if I will make more. I have the tooling but it's not worthwhile to make them unless I see a decent demand for them.
I did turn a profit and I'm glad about that. Thanks to all of you that purchased. I sincerely appreciate the support. And the best thing is I got to tell my wife "See, I told you so...."😀

Sincerely Ron I think YOU are the guy that should receive the thanks for the big favor you did to the Mondial community reproducing them. Hopefully for other owners will redo another batch sooner or later.

Ditto. Mine are still reasonable but I will need them in the not-too-distant future. Cheers.

When I changed my window mechanism. I adjusted window to drop right under window seal and so preventing future B-pilar moulding issues from pointy window glass.

I have a set on its way to Belgium.
Last winter I have changed the right hand rear window motor with the Volvo mod.
This winter the left hand side will be done.

Once that job is done I will install the new pillars that are on its way.

Looking forward to see the finishing.

    Hans

That is nice to hear people are modifying rear windows using my instructions and parts that I found.
I thought it did not catch popular interest, because it's really not that easy thing to do, but those Volvo parts really made me smile everytime I used them.

    Thank you!

Its a fantastic mod. and the perfect and permanent solution.
With time, patience, angel grinder and a dose of creativity its doable.

Is the rear windows that messed up my pillars.

    Great find!!

Received Ron Frohock's pillars, very well made items, and looks like a very complex part to fabricate to such a high standard. Great to have these otherwise pretty much un-obtainables reproduced.

I started installing my set of Ron's B pillars yesterday.

"Take your time and do it right," I told myself. Do as I say, not as I do......

In my haste to open the convertible top to check alignment I broke one of my latches. :-(

I already have Ron's vent wedge kit and his B pillars, now a set of his improved top latch connectors are on the way. (Got anything else I can buy, Ron? Lol!)

I am taking lots of pics of the B pillar install and will post them once I get my latches so I can finish the job.

As others have said, the quality of Ron's parts are amazing, much better than OEM and correct down to the Mondial script on the top. Sure to last the life of the car with some care in lowering the top.

Received mine today, nicely packed and installation guide included.

Top quality parts, beautifully made, you can see that a lot of research has gone into recreating these parts.
It has the perfect density no to hard, not to soft just perfect.
very nice detailing to the surface finishing.

I can recommend them to everyone.

    Respect Ron!!!!

    Fellow Mondial Owners,
I just had a request for another pair of B Pillars so I need to make them.
Id prefer to make more if there is interest rather than make them as requested.
Does anyone else need a pair?
    Thanks
    - Ron

    Thanks!

I'm sure I'll regret this :( Probably a bit close to xmas to drop that kind of coin when I don't need them currently...
