For some reasons, history is not an important issue here in Japan. People seem to care more the conditions, etc. If your purchased car is the so called official dealer's car (by Cornes), then you may be able to obtain infos if you contact them. However, I don't think even the dealer keep track of owners. Another possibility may be to contact the Ferrari Club of Japan. Another venue may be to contact the local chapter, ie. Ferrari Club of Tokyo, etc. No matter which route you try, it is very possible that they would not divuldge personal infos due to strick privacy law that prevents. My best suggestion is to ask the previous private seller or dealer regading such infos. Good luck. w/ smiles Jimmy

    Thank you Jimmy,

as you appearently more in the crowd In Jaspan than i do maybe you can help me.

I bought this 308 gts QV last july from a cartrader named jsp cartrading. No history available whatsoever.

however the car is in very good condition and maintained well (according to the records from 2001)
The VIN ZFFLA13B000046453, its a eurospec car and first registration in Japan is in 1988
The car is quite unusual in its colors; Fly yellow on the outsite and red inside.

Maybe you can have some infocorridors to see what you can find.

    thanks in advance already!

    Steven

PS i'm not really want to know names but it would be nice to know the periods former owner had it and try to find some more history on it.

Not a direct answer to your inquiry, however some more infos,...There are several ways how Ferraris come here to Japan. Cornes is the official Ferrari importer and thus their cars are considered as dealer cars w/ stickers' on rear windows saying "Cornes". Value thus is the highest. Then there's independent car dealers importing brand new Ferraris, selling at slightly less. Many independent dealers import used Ferraris also. Lastly, there's people who import, used usually, privately. (I've done this few times). Generally speaking, exotic cars including Ferraris are very well maintained and not driven as much. Now that Euro is so strong against Yen, I believe you had a pretty good deal w/ your car. Jimmy
