Today marked the culmination of a nearly 20 year adventure when my first Ferrari, a 2002 360 Modena arrived at my home shortly after Noon. For those of you reading this in my age range (on the doorstep of 40) who grew up staring at Testarossa posters on your bedroom wall, the reality of setting a goal and achieving it is very satisfying to say the least.

And while I've dreamed of this day for some time, the real work leading up to the actual purchase began in earnest last October. Like many on this board, I spent hours upon hours researching price, market trends and the like. I pondered private sale, wholesalers and authorized dealers.

When I landed on the fact that I would prefer the piece of mind an authorized dealer (and CPO vehicle) provides, I sent an introductory email to half a dozen locations, some as close as 10 miles from my CT home and some as far away as 1,300 miles in TX.

Ferrari Maserati of New England was the most responsive and customer service oriented dealer of the bunch (some never even called me back, bu that is another story). After months of conversations and emailing, I decided to take the family up for a visit in late January.

Needless to say, we fell in love with the Modena and made the decision on the spot. The entire gang at FNE, from Dennis, Adam and Jesse, to Dave and Josh were super friendly and extremely accommodating.

I am pretty particular when it comes to my cars and clearly this would be no exception. During the process, I must say the FNE crew was very patient and listened to what was important to me, all in an effort to make the customer happy and build a relationship.

I am very pleased with their work ethic and would recommend them to anyone interested in an enjoyable experience.

I also can second your experiences at Ferrari/Maserati of New England. Both from a sales and service standpoint. Over the past few years I have purchased a couple of cars and have been very happy with my experiences.

Hope to see you and your car at some of the Ferrari events.

PS - Post some pictures when you get time.

Thank you Tim, clearly a big day and one to remember here at my house. Joined the NE Region of FCA and am looking to get involved, so it is likely we'll find each other at some point!

Been seriously busy the last few days and haven't checked the boards.

    Sweet ride

I expect to see you up in Rocky Hill with that beauty. Its a nice ride up the parkway and you simply can't fathom the sounds you'll experience through the West Rock Tunnel best experienced with a Tubi.

I don't have any experience with the sales staff at FoNE other than how nicely I've been treated when I hang around in the showroom. Mark has always made the time to shoot the breeze for a moment or 2. My experience is with Steve and Nikola in service. The adjective Outstanding just falls a little short.

Looks great and congrats. Adam and Dennis are good guys, I came fairly close to buying a car on the day of a patriot playoff game when FNE was at the old location. If I wasn't so pissed off at the 2plus hour traffic jam (my fault as I never even realized there was a game that day) I very well may have bought the car. FNE was actually tailgating in their lot and the security guy almost wouldn't let me in as he thought i was trying to park! Again congrats and look forward to seeing it soon, the coupe looks great in the 360 and yours appears clean. F1 or 6 spd? Saint Bastage- hope to meet you guys in Rocky Hill as well one sunday with my CS, looks like you guys have created a great way to spend sunday mornings.

Thanks all, it is a 6 speed with 13.5k miles, stock exhaust, front/rear challenge grills.

Yes, the car is very, very clean (as a former auto detailer I am pretty particular) - FNE took care of many of the cosmetic issues, not to mention it is Ferrari Approved CPO, so I get the 1 year warranty for piece of mind. Only thing: Having some key/fob issues (only have one black fob, no PIN, no RED), so to rectify FNA may need to cut me a complete new set of fobs and new PIN.

Thanks Lane, certainly hope to make it up there - looks like a ton of fun! We need to find a place in Fairfield county for some "away" games.

Also, I've joined FCA (and thus the NE Chapter) and plan on attending some of their events - certainly the "Festa di Ferrari" in Stamford.

I will agree that Ferrari of New England is a great dealer to work with. I have not bought a car from them but rather I do there dealer work on there cars on a regular basis. We do everything from OEM intergration to full custom sound systems for them. Everyone from Dennis, Adam, Jesse to Steve and Mike in service are great people to do business with. They care about there clients more than any other dealer I have worked with in the past. They are a class act...

I'm not usually one to give praises to an F-car dealer....as I've seen a lot of crap.....but, I will make an exception.

I never bought a car from F of NE, but starting when I was 12 I would make yearly pilgrimages to Boston and FofNE to see and take pictures of exotics. They were extremely kind, and every time would invite me into the service dept to take pictures. I would literally spend hours at the dealership and they never once got annoyed.

Heck, when I was 17 or so I bought my first set of Pilotis, and the ones I wanted I couldn't find ANYWHERE, and the parts guy there went way beyond the call of duty to find a set of backordered SHOES for me. Awesome.

They guys at FNE are great!! I went on a Sunday and Mark went searching through the parts dept to get me a small partfor the 355 even though theparts dept was supposed to be closed.
I have always been greated with a smile and asked if I needed help (even if I dont look the part of a potential buyer :p)

When ever I decide to move on from the 355, i would definately want to do business with these guys.
