    after the launch of the California Ferrari will now turn all attention to the next launch or replacement of an existing model. Will we first see the new 612 or the F430 replacement next? I read on this forum that the Modificata badge is no longer a consideration by Ferrari and we will only see evolutions of existing models launched under new names? I wonder if anyone here has any thoughts or information regarding what would be coming next? and how soon?
    we all heard about the 599 spider or barcheta or whatever they intend to call it, how soon would that be? when will se see the 599 replacement, assuming it will be the last among the current line up to be changed in any way.
    my guess is this

    F430 replacement around spring 2010
    F430 Spider replacement fall 2010
    612 replacement some time in 2011
    599 GTS (Spider) late in 2009
    599 GTB replacement by 2013
    California facelift by 2014 ( assuming Ferrari will adopt typical manufacturers strategy and do a refresh)

    please share your predictions or insider information with all of us.

    I would bet that we may soon see the end of the 612. At $315K base price it really does not offer much excitement.

    It's not a big seller, and Ferrari is trying to be more eco friendly with engine displacements.

    Just my guess.

    Don't shoot me but I thought Ferrari would be launching a 430 Scud spider. Then they would be launching a 599 spider spring of 09. Then the 430's successor in the fall or winter of 09. Then in 2010 they will launch the Enzo's successor in the fall.

    The 599's successor won't be for another 8 years or so. I thought V12 GT models like the Testarossa & Maranello ran 10 years? I expect to see a 599 spider, then the 599 will get a slight face lift & HP boost in 2010 for another 5 year run. Successor will be in 2015.

    612 scaglietti isn't performing that bad, it was always the aim to make them less then the rest of the models, you still need to wait 2 years in europe to get it.
    there won't be any GTS or GTC or any other version of 599.
    Enzo successor due to come in 2009. F430 successor (F540) to come in 2010.

    In an interview with Dutch magazin Autotelegraaf Luca di Montezemolo said that there is still room for another model in the Ferrari line up. In the second half of 2009 we can expect another new model.

    Would that be the 430 Scuderia Spider?

    Trust me there will be a GTS (spider) GTC (scuderia version of 599)

    They will both be here. 100%

    Wow you think the engine displacement will be that big in light of current markets and fuel concerns?

    My dealer says that Scud spider is happening and has been confirmed for 300 units only world wide, he is waiting to know how many he might get. He also confirmed that F430 replacement will be launched fall 2010.
    no information about a 599 spider yet, but I think it will have to come towards the end of the life cycle by 2011. He also said that they are expecting an 8 year life cycle for the 599 .

    This does not surprise me and I'd bet once the air bag issue has been sorted out in the 430 it's replacement might stretch to 8 years.

    I would say that many manufacturers today do not want to invest heavy capital into new designs that may see reduced sales due to economic conditions.

    I think from this time onward the new ferrari will be smaller, lighter and less displacement engine which eco - friendly etc... but hey, i love high powered F-cars and especially i love 599 with its considerable size and comfort dunno if i can like those newer ferrari if it is so.

    a reasonable weight reduction for 599 will made it to my lifetime F-car..so i won't bother with the new ones if it ain't as good as current ones..

    but then F-cars never stop to amaze people from time to time....:D

    I would love to see information on the new replacements.
    2010-2012 sounds about right.

    New 599's at $250k w/ no bidder's and going down (posted some where here).
    430's in the mid one hundred's and going down at some point are going to be even more attractive.
    Getting on the long end of the development cycle.

    Personally, I am looking for a super improved 599 in convertible with a better frontal section and hair improved styling otherwise the new Mercedes SL??.
    This is for the wife. (Some friends of mind are looking for the same).

    If they make a super 430 Scud at a discount, I will be looking closely for myself.
    Needs another liter of displacement at minimum or FI to be competitive with the new 500/640 bhp designs out of the box.
    Nine and Ten Seconds will be the new Eleven and Twelve.
