Hey guys. New here. Love the forum already. Thinking of getting a 2015 California T. Thoughts on what mileage range I should target? 15-20k? Possible under $120k?

Cali T is an excellent choice, a nice one will be at least $120K +

^Agree. If the price is more important than the mileage, then I would target an earlier Cali 30. Prices on those will be lower, and it is still a great ride.

Also, insofar as mileage is concerned, lower is better, especially if you see this as being a car you might keep for a few years and then move on to another exotic. If you see this as a keeper, then mileage is less of an issue...T

Thanks guys. Thinking I might keep it for 4-5 years before upgrading.

Look for a well treated and serviced car. Mileage doesn't mean the best for the money. Take the proper steps: PPI, test drive [if you can], price, etc. Don't settle and don't rush. It is the most satisfying purchase ever when you do it right. The garage door view ever morning is AMAZING! Every single time. :D

Yea thanks. Definitely not rushing it. Here is a quick TCO model. Does it make sense?
    1. 2015/16 T. Purchase Price $140k includes tax and reg. Mileage 15k
    2. Sale after 3 years. Mileage 30k. Sell at 80k
    3. My cost difference 60k. Add following.
      1. 5000 per year extended warranty
      2. 5000 per year maintenance
      3. 5000 per year Insurance plus registration
      4. Grand total 75k. 25k per year

I don't spend anywhere near 5k / yr on maintenance on both of my cars combined [unless it's yr 5 and major time on the 355] nor do I spend that on insurance. If you spend 25k / yr to maintain a Cali T, you bought the wrong car. I wouldn't assume you'd lose 60k but it's whatever you're comfortable with.

Find a car you want and like, and drive the **** out of it. Life's too short, man. Have fun!

Yea I was being super conservative to get a sense of outer limit. Some of the maintenance threads are scaring me. 25k estimate was total spent per year upon selling at year 3, not just maintenance. That would indeed be wild

I think your actual cost will be more like 1/2 of that total.
    Well worth it!
    Enjoy
