That's nothing, I have an entire F430 hanging on my wall.

Actually, I don't, it's just sitting in the garage. The nosecone on the wall looks sick. Nicely done!

That "black nose" brings back a lot of memories.

It was a great tribute during a very dark time. (notice my avatar)

How much? PM me if you want.

    Injected plastic or fibreglass replica?

No wing angle adjustment hardware.........winglets are moulded at fixed angles.

    Nice though.....

These are made of carbon fiber and fiberglass composites. They look just like the real ones only they are a bit nicer as they are completely clear coated over the logos, whereas the originals have stickers placed over the paint. However, if you want an original, I have one too $$$$

I can attest to the extreme care in the packaging and shipping of these nose cones...it took my guys over 30 mins to take apart the solid wood (screwed shut) box and unwrap the pieces...perfect condition of course.

    The quality is stunning.

What is the point behind those? Owning a Ferrari collectible is one thing. Honouring the memory of a tragic event is another. Why would someone combine the two? What message is that supposed to carry? How does being reminded of the death of thousands brighten up your day?

I have sold several of the black F2001 nosecones to a variety of Ferrari owners & enthusiasts. One gentleman owns the actual F2001 car that ran at Monza, but keeps it in the regular red Marlboro livery. He thought it would be cool to have this with his car. Others were at the race. Then there are those who collect Ferrari memorabilia and are always looking for something different. For reasons like this and more model companies such as BBR made miniatures of the 9/11 car, and artists did paintings of it.

As with all collectibles and consumables, if there is a demand then the market will supply it.

I think the "point" is not dwelling on the death of thousands, but remembering Ferrari's response to 9/11,,,,,,very classy in my opinion.
From a purely "Ferrari Collector" viewpoint, the F1 cars only ran this way for 1 race......making this an interesting collectible. IF I recall, and maybe Morry can add his expert opinion, anything from the Italian GP of01, is highly collectible...I think I recal seeing MS's suit form that race at Morry's place, and I know the scale cars are collectible as well....
Anyway...to each his own....I'd snag one up in a heartbeat.

    The office looks great........very classy.

    hps.
