Chris Miele from Ferrari of Central New Jersey can be reached at 732 248 9100. Not sure how late they are open officially, but he frequently leaves me VM in my office after hours.

    He's ALWAYS working!

Don't know what you're looking for, but when I went a couple weeks ago, they had very little inventory (one Spyder and if memory serves, one coupe)...I came ready to buy something and there was nada.

Paul -- not sure what your experiences are with other dealerships, but on-hand inventory doesn't really mean much. Any good dealer (Chris & the FoCNJ guys included) can make a few calls and find the car you want nationwide. He knows all the wholesalers, all the other dealers, etc. etc. All you have to do is ask...

I've seen you express your concern about their inventory in other threads, and I really think you're making more of it than you should.

I have asked and Chris knows what I want based on a couple calls, plus I went to see him face2face to let him know, but still no call back. Also, HE stated, "sorry, that's all the inventory I've got on hand right now" (incidentally, the TDF blue is sold and has been for some time now, so as far as Spyders go, he's down to one car).

I do have a few other dealers really trying to make something work by doing exactly what you suggest (calling other dealers, wholesalers, etc), but again, all is quiet on the FofCNJ front. Unfortunate, because I prefer to buy locally.

    Paul,

Perhaps there's been some confusion ... I'm under the impression that you've been contacted by FoCNJ several times -- you received calls from both Chris (*while he was on vacation* in Hawaii) as well as from another woman who works at the dealership.

Sorry to drag this up again, but I don't like seeing people that I know for a fact are doing their job get badmouthed on the Internet. This goes for FoCNJ, Classic Coach, and any other business that we fchatters have relationships with.

Take it easy, no one is doing any "badmouthing on the internet" and I've never said anything about Classic Coach or anyone else out there, so no need to get exercised here. Also, when you say "we fchatters", that would include me, and unless you're looking to censore my views, I'm going to give my input, good or bad.

Now for the facts: I originally called FoCNJ to help me find a car and was told "Chris is out for a few weeks in Hawaii, then off to Cavallino for a week" (not a great start, but the guy's entitled to his vacation time). I was then told that the individual who handles Maseratis would help me. After not hearing from this individual for a week, I called back and he indicated that he's probably not the best person and to wait for Chris to return from Hawaii. Again, not a great start, but I'm a pretty patient guy.

Chris was then very good about calling me from Hawaii and telling me he would take care of me, which I appreciated. I did not hear anything after he got back, so I decided to stop in to say hello and meet with him face2face. Chris at that stage then said he "knows what I want" and he will get back to me.

That was a few weeks ago and still no call back, so I assume he is looking but not finding anything. Also, you seem to have some knowledge of some woman who called me, but I have no clue who that might be.

Now am I badmouthing someone by stating the facts? Dont' think so. I'm just a guy looking to buy a car and AGAIN, what Chris told me (his words, not mine) is that he has almost NO INVENTORY and that he will keep his eyes out for me. To be honest, I don't have enough experience with Chris to warrant a deep meaningful opinion, just the facts as stated above.

I do have to ask on my end: why so senstitive?

i realy don't get all this nonsense. you had called chris and was told that he is away on vacation. the guy actualy called you (which most of the dealers will not do when they are on vacation) and told you that he is on vacaction and he will help you when he gets back.

you met him when he got back and told you that at this point in time he did not have the car you want and that he will look for one for you. do you honestly think that a ferrari dealer does not want to sell you a 360 spider? that's when they make their money and not on new cars.

on the other hand there are more than enough 360 spiders you can choose from ferrari market letter, dupont, auto traders, and ebay. if you realy don't like their treatment then you should move on.

Sorry, but all I said in my original post was the following:

"Don't know what you're looking for, but when I went a couple weeks ago, they had very little inventory (one Spyder and if memory serves, one coupe)...I came ready to buy something and there was nada."

Now if that strikes you as "nonsense", I think you need a head check. I'm in search of a car and in a two months I've gotten ONE CALL saying "knows what I'm looking for". Now if that constitutes terrific customer service from your vantage point, G-d bless, but I've got guys on the West Coast and FL killing themselves with emails and calls to me daily to try to pull something together while locally, they seem a tad less aggressive.

first off thank you very much for your kind head check comment. it shows me where you are coming from. well now let's see who needs a head check my frined:

head check no 1: you posted on 1/10/2005 10:12Am
Trying to narrow my decision on purchase of a 360 Spyder, and went with the suggestion from a number of you to contact Chris of FoCNJ. Unfortunately, Chris will not be in for a couple weeks or more and I can't seem to get anyone to return my calls (some guy who normally deals with Maserati filling in for Chris). Also, these guys have to be the only Ferrari dealership with no website, so can't even check their inventory.

Anyone know how best to get in touch with Chris or find out what they have in inventory? My preference is for an 01 or 02 either black on black, red/tan or TDF Blue, with no preference one way or another on F1 or 6spd.

HEAD CHECK NO 2: YOU POSTED ON 1/10/2005 4:52PM
Chris just called me from Hawaii (which I really appreciated) and indicates that he'll be back around the 25th and will search something out in Feb.

HEAD CHECK NO 3: YOU POSTE ON 1/26/2005 4:42PM
Just went to FoCNJ and saw Chris...unfortunately, limited inventory (one yellow 04 Spyder)...will have to wait and see what else is out there.

HEAD CHECK NO 4: YOU POSTED ON 2/3/2005 6:14PM
Don't know what you're looking for, but when I went a couple weeks ago, they had very little inventory (one Spyder and if memory serves, one coupe)...I came ready to buy something and there was nada.

okay now lets put everything in prespective. you called chris on 1/10/2005 at 10:12Am and he called you back from his vacation at 4:52PM. well if that is not customer service then i don't know what is. right there i think you need to get a head check yourself.

you went to FOCNJ on 1/26/05 and was told that they did not have what you were looking for and on 2/3/2005 you say that you were there couple of weeks ago. in my book from 1/26/05 to 2/3/05 is only a week and not couple of week. right there i think you need to get a head check yourself.

for god sakes you have given FOCNJ one week to find a ferrari for you that is presumably with your color combo, mileage and price range. well most of us hunt for months and months to find the perfect ferrari. right there i think you need to get a heach check yourself again.

you also need to know that most of the ferrari dealerships browse ferrari chat and even though they do no post but all are very tight and talk to each other. may be your attitude has something to do with them not calling you back.

Be wary of the Florida dealers. Many of them are less than reputable and will sell you a repaired/totaled car. Be careful. Lots of folks in the Ferrari finance world will not TOUCH cars from most florida sources. I know that "The Collection" in Miami as well as "Ferrari of Central Florida" are great -- but unless you live in Florida, FoCF can't really sell you a car.

Have patience. You're buying a Ferrari and not a Ford. Just because the right color combo comes up does not mean that it's the right car. There's lots to getting an F-car that goes WAY beyond what you see on the surface. I'm looking for a 360, too. (See the "advice needed" thread) and I've found lots and lots of cars -- but none that are right. Eli's Stradale is looking better and better.

Did I just say that? Did I just say I'd "settle" on a Stradale? ;)

As for Ferrari of Central New Jersey, I think they're the goods. They've got about 6 or 7 Ferraris in inventory (from what I saw on my last visit) but no TDF F1s. Chris has demonstrated exemplary service. 110% of the time. He's not a high-pressure, overly aggressive car-sales-weasel. He's a respectful, courteous professional. I'll stand up for them any day.

I hope you find what you want and I hope that you choose to do business with somene that makes your Ferrari experience as amazing as mine, Hubert's, John's, Jon's, Vik's, Noah's, Noto's, Eli's, Brad's -- I think you see where this is going. :)

It sure shows who has been buying cars for a long time and who the rookies are. I never saw such moaning in wanting to buy a car. If you want a car just buy the peace of metal. If you don't like the way the salesperson or dealer treats you, move on. Just because your personalities don't mix doesn't mean that they are bad guys. You want crazy car stories, I can keep you up all day and night. I know for a fact Chris and Joe are stand up guys. Ralph and mike in service can't do enough for you. I ask and they deliver. I could give a crap if they offer me cappucino as long as my car is serviced right and taken care of. If I can afford the horse I can afford my own cup of java. Coincidentally, Enzo the master tech makes an awesome expresso. Take it from a guy who changes cars like underwear - Great people and a great facility.

what i don't get is, it seems its rather not that hard to find ur car. you have 3 color choices, black/black, red/tan, TDF, you dont even have preference on F1/6sp, there are a bunch of cars u can pick from i'd think. if u dont think FoCNJ is treatin you right, why not go somewhere else?

Not looking to start a war here and as I originally stated, Chris had limited inventory....that's a statement of fact as stated by Chris himself...yes, he indicated he could find other cars elsewhere, but thusfar nada.

I AM NOT, NOR HAVE I IN ANYWAY BLAMED CHRIS FOR THAT, but some here think I've badmouthed these guys...I'm glad many here have had terrific experiences with these guys, and as I've said before, I've had limited to no experience with them and could not really offer up an opinion...but in the end, the original poster asked for views, both good and bad and my words were "no inventory", which someone took me to task on.

Again, not looking to cause any trouble, just expressed my views.

PJH, It sure can't help things ranting about it here.
Personally, I have had nothing but a good experience dealing with both FoCNJ and Chris. I found out about Chris and FoCNJ from the EC boyz. I also called while he was away on vacation and they told me he would be back on January 19th. I had no idea he was going to Cavallino so I dropped by the dealership on the 19th. Chris had litterally just gotten back from his vacation and was shortly leaving for the airport to beat the snow to get to Cavallino. He dropped everything and we not only chatted but he gave me a tour of the entire facility. Chris is not just a Ferraru guy, he's a car guy. I ended up spending about a half hour there and told Chris what I was looking for. To make a long story short, this past Saturday I drove home my Stradale from FoCNJ a mere 17 days after telling Chris what I wanted.
On one had, I feel like I got very lucky to find my perfect car especially since most people look and look and look to find the right car. On the other hand, I have to give the credit to Chris for hooking me up with the right car at a fair price.
