Ferrari of Denver - good people there?

lol, yeah I've been there several times. Never in the position to buy, just looking. They have always made me feel welcome. They let me take pictures, "as long as I don't include the people ." Only problem is they have yet to let me walk through the service area to check out what's in for work, but that's understandable...

 

FoD gets real sensitive about the truth. Take that as a warning. I suggest Scuderia Rampante. 303-938-9000.

The main reason for not ushering people through the service department really has to do with the technicians...they ***** at us if we bring you back there and you're taking pictures and/or asking questions while they're trying work, although when Helms was here he just got angry when you would interupt his smoking breaks (which were too often Mr. Helms) They need to focus on the job at hand and can't quite do that if we're back there bugging them...at least that's what I'm told
Come over on any Saturday, the service dept. is closed and most any one of us would be happy to show you around.

 

Randy Smith is the service manager there.. He is a great guy!
He has helped me alot with stuff.

 

Derek, I bet you yourself lose more clients just by being you. Your Helms comment will be another costly mistake for you and FoD. I do hope you retire there, but hey what can the rest of us expect from someone making 8 bucks an hour?

The people at Ferrari of Denver are a great group of people. As a former employee (lot tech a few years back) it was an honor to work with Dave Helms and Derek, both good guys. I have nothing but good things to say about the people/staff and Ferrari of Denver.

On a side note. Derek im still dying to see the Lotus Elise, let me know when they arrive, or maybe i'll just stop in after work one day and check.

Derek; I stand corrected. However, you FoD guys can't take any comments about real unpleasant experiences people have had with your outfit. Like I've stated in the past, instead of attempting to remedy situations that have caused negative feedback, FoD seems content in alienating those of us that have a bone to pick with them. What's the harm in finding out from disgruntled customers- just why they're disgruntled, and within reason, working on a remedy that may lead to a comfortable resolution. We could all then be Spock-like to live long and prosper! Ciao for now

 

Frank...thank you for admitting your error. If you recall the infamous "Denver/Boulder F-car mechanic" thread I asked you what your beef was with FoD in hopes of resolving the situation but I never recieved a proper response. We are all willing to respect your decision not to do business here anymore as I'm sure your business can't keep everyone happy either (I'm not taking a shot there, just being realistic)

BTW, Dave...you still can't have her, she's all mine!!!

Im no buyer at all, but the FoD people are extremely nice to me every time i visit there, although Frank refuses to belive any of the stories I have shared (or just calls them extremly exaggerated) they have let me sit in numerous cars in the showroom, including the Enzo they had in June of '03, that same day they let me sit in a 355 spider. The dealer i always like to talk too is Mike Parmakian, he will always make a conversation when hes not busy, he has given me these Bentley magazines and quizes me on Ferrari stuff, he let me sit in a red 575M, then after that let me ride down from the service area, into the showroom (anyone who knows FoD knows thats probably less then 1/4 mile and takes maybe 8 seconds, but it was an extremly nice gesture, and even tho it was an extremely slow, short ride, I rode in a Ferrari. I was more then happy that night

If Mike still works at FoD when im in the market for an F-car, I would buy from him in a heartbeat, just based on the things he has done for me

Keep working hard and you'll get your Ferrari one day. In the meantime, if you want to see the best cars and planes in Colorado, I could use your help during the Morgan Adams Concours on Aug. 21st. Also, we may have an extra seat for you in a Cobra or Gullwing or something else during the tour. Guys like Roland, John and the others are taking their cars on the road tour at 1 pm.

Like Roland says, we're all glad we have FoD, Dave Helms and all the other people that support this exotic car community. Surely, we have other topics with the Aspen track event and others coming up.

I remember Parmakian from the late 80's/ early 90's selling cars from his own "business" and selling them without titles, cars paid for and never received. I have a freind that had to go to court to get the title to his M3. I would stay a mile away from him and question anything he said. Not sure what this says about FOD hiring him.Good luck, see you on Sat. Doody!
