That's why you've got to sit on Fchat with a constant refresh, cacheing pages here and there to grab the good stuff.
You know if the Fchat software would let me completely delete a post shortly after writing it instead of just editing it I could have elimanated a 2 page thread on nothing. I sent most of the crew a PM of my FoLI opinion already, seems most of you feel the same way already. Anyone who plans on having work done there can PM me for an update. After writing it, I felt publicly voiceing it on a public board wasn't going to do anyone any good. They do sponser some good runs and there are a few people there who have helped me out on occasion, so as they say "it is, what it is".
Hey Rob, Thanks for your call on the coupons. Been insane at work, so apologies for not responding earlier. You going to be in the city this week at all? I'll fill you in on the Michael's story shortly.
michael can you pm me and let me know what the hell are you talking about? the enquiring minds want to know. thanks
I made this picture to describe several incidents I've heard recently about Ferrari of Long Island. While the underground story referenced in this particular thread is a bit on the extreme side, they seem to have a propensity to squeeze folks into service activity they do not need. On a side note, I think it's sad that we feel that we must hide the proverbial horror stories from this forum for fear that the alleged villains might see them. These are the most important stories for us as owners to share. This is the appropriate forum that can give us, the consumer, some power and insight into potentially unscrupulous activities of some area technicians. Personally, I'm gonna continue to whine on this board when someone makes me cranky. Then you all can be the jury and decide either: 1) Emil's a nut and should not be listened to until he starts taking his meds 2) Damn, those guys at {some shop} really screwed him and I'm gonna be careful if I ever have to use them. If a slandered shop is listening, they should not call on friends of the alleged victim to make him stop whining -- they should do what they have to do to make things right with the customer. It's called Customer Service. Look into it. Remember the incident where that guy was complaining about Manhattan Motorcars and Gus came on and told his side of the story? I'm not gonna say who I thought was right and who I thought was wrong there, but I've got an appointment next week to have a Valentine1 and Lidatek put in the mirror of Keri's M3 next week at Technik1, so that should answer that... Shops Emil Likes: Ferrari of Central New Jersey, Technik1, Classic Coach, RPM Racing, Berlinetta MotorCars, Silver Star Porsche, T&A Racing (as good as it sounds), Body Motion. Shops Emil Does Not Like: AutoSport Design, Ferrari of Long Island. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh, and let me qualify this comment quickly. I do not like these shops because they were mean. I've seen some amazing work that both of these places do -- they do amazing things, but I need to feel good about the place where I buy my 430. I need to feel good about the place where I get my car painted. I need to feel good about the place where I buy tires. I need to feel good about the place where I get my service. These guys did nothing to make me feel good. It's totally a customer service issue.
I think as we and Eli have discussed before in refrence to CC that all dealership/service have different opinions by different people [Eli would never take his car to CC and i would never take my car to any place but CC]. The same way I could find a few people that swear by FoLI and a few that have been mis-treated as Emil has been. That is just how things happen. All these dealerships are good to their core clients and not so good to other clients, that does not make them good for bad just re-emphasizes the point that these dealerships are in business to make MONEY and they will do so as best as they feel fit.
