Well....I was up in Mill Valley yesterday, trying to buy a car from the dealership. In the process of doing so, I learned that the paddle shifting business was not for me, so I did not drive home in a new Italian steed, but I wanted to pass on some feedback...

Namely, Alessandro Ribola, the person who was helping me, was extremely professional, courteous, and honest. When it came to financial matters, there was no BS, and I was given plenty of time to check the car out. The location was pretty nice, too, and nobody even minded my kids throwing rocks into the water channel just outside the showroom (far enough away from the cars).

I was really looking forward to establishing a local relationship with the dealer, but with limited used inventory, it is often tough to get a match. Perhaps I can still get a new Ferrari from them one day, unless I am on the permanent sh*t list for not closing this deal
    :)

    PS.
We brought some coffee back for the Alessandro, but he said he did not drink coffee...???!!! It is like a Polish person like myself not drinking Vodka. We ended up not holding it against him, provided that he is Italian (I think so).

    Hi Luke -

I second the motion on FoSF. Everyone I have dealt with there - Brad, Evan, and Allesandro - has been knowledgable and straightforward, a real pleasure. This is the best dealership of any automobile brand that I have ever worked with.

    Hi, Luke and Gary.

This is Alfonso Faustino. Great to see you guys on this site. I agree 100% with you both re: Ferrari of San Francisco. I bought my Ferrari from Evan Shone, and I it was the best experience. Brad is also great and provides great advice. They are helping me with my 1997 355 GTS purchase.

Luke, which Ferrari are you interested in purchasing? Gary, your 360 Modena is awesome. Talk soon.

    /s/ Alfonso

FOSF was on my list as I was looking for an early VIN 308 for over two years. When one appeared there, I dealt with Brad Goldstone. He treated me as if I was buying a new 360. THATS how you get repeat business down the road!

I was thinking of driving up there before i bought my 355. Instead, went to Silicon Valley Auto Group. Should have went to san fran. The only saving Grace was the guy that runs the service dept, top notch. Next year when i trade up to a 360 i'm going to san fran.

I bought my 360 from F of Los Gatos a few years ago and had an excellent experience. More recently, have excellent experiences with the service depts of both SVAG and FoSF. Bruce at FoSF made the cam variator work easy to get done and all under warranty.

    Alfonso;

Sorry I only had Tuesday lunch free this week. Call me about next week !

I think used Modenas did not see enough of an adjustment, so I was in looking at the 355, 456, and the Maser coupe.

I will post about the new Italian in the garage soon. I think I got it on a truck now...
    :)

    thx

they seem nice, although they rather avoid the people who don't look like they're gonna buy a ferrari (me)
