Well, Guys/Gals,My 2007 Spider F430 Red/Tan and I just completed the 2015 Street Rodder Magazine Road Tour Triple Challenge. We drove 6321 miles in a 4 week period and had a ball. You can read about our adventures by going to: Street Rodder.com and accessing the Road Tour 2015 links.Since my car isn't a "street rod" we didn't get that many photos, but Jerry Dixey our fearless leader took hundreds of photos and my Ferrari is in several-its the only red Ferrari(HA!Ha)My Ferrari, a former garage queen, has now experienced all the world has to offer. We were heavily rained on, covered with spattered bugs, sat outside over night with no cover, driven in gravel, dirt and parked on lawns, been stopped for over an hour in a traffic jam and just had a great time.Trip started badly as on day 1 the top broke-wouldn't go up or down so we read the manual and locked it up-alas incorrectly as it leaked badly in the rain.A little foam tape helped seal it.One time I get a "slow down" code- boy do you slow down. But I cleared it and not more issues for the trip.I couldn't believe that this car averaged 17.9 MPG for the whole trip.We traveled at speed limit +5 for 99.9% of the trip.It is a real pleasure to share your car with many who have never seen one. There is nothing like driving a Ferrari on the road. The handling is supreme and it never ceases to please.I will be taking her on more adventures, can't wait. Enjoy your car, take her on an outdoor adventure. This is a real drivers car.

From the enthusiasts (including me): Congrats on getting an incredible 6,321 on your Ferrari in just 4 weeks! From my experience, they are far more resilient that you think. Great job and good luck on your future adventures.

From Collectors / Prospectors: Dude, you just substantially depreciated your investment in just a month. Probably a record. What's wrong with you?

    :)

I'm not sure I'd want to do 6,321 miles in 4 weeks in any car! That's one hell of a journey. Doing it in a Ferrari is epic.. especially since most Ferrari owners are mile counters. Congrats!

Big time congrats. 6000+ miles in four weeks is daily driver territory. But in a Ferrari it's not measured in "miles" but in "smiles". :)

Southnc, Boy are you right and your Collectors/Prospectors was on my mind the whole time. The car still only has 16K miles but I had so much fun on the road that I am going to have to do some serious thinking.Should I drive it and smile for thousands of miles or put it back in the garage and look at it and some day sell it for more money than if I play with it.Oh,Well I still have 1 or 2 more trips before the decision. And Knightrider you are indeed correct ;this car needs constant concentration especially in the rain and at the end of a day of 500 miles you really sleep well, but have cool dreams. Thanks for the comments guys.

Good for you. These cars were meant to be driven. I once took a 1989 Corvette convertible from Phoenix, AZ to Fairbanks, AK in 4.5 days. Best road trip I've ever been on (~3700 miles).

Congrats on your road trip. As others have said, these cars are made to be driven.

Longest trip(s) in my 328, to date, are multiple 1,300 mile trips.

Once made a 7,300 mile trip in a C4 Vette and multiple 5,000+ mile trips in various other Corvettes.

I'm going to do a 4,000+ mile trip in the 328 this fall. It has 38,000 on it right now with a fresh 30K - looking forward to the next 30K....will do a repeat of the 1,300 mile trip later this month: Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Rio Grande Valley and return... - the back roads in the Texas Hill Country are _great!_

600,000 miles in Corvettes over the past 26-years: have had a Vette in 45 of the lower 48.

Anymore I split the DD duties with the 328. I find I drive the B-model more and more.

The only time I seem to take the Vette is when I need more luggage space or I need to park something at the airport. With the significant other the more luggage space becomes the norm.

I'm the kind of guy that can take a carry on and do two weeks in Europe. Of course, washing clothes and the end of the 1st week is a necessity.

If I'm traveling alone the one bag and unlimited travel is okay in the 328...with the significant other it requires the C7 or the Cherokee... I'm sure others can relate.
