Oak Street goes red? Unfortunately not this year. Drove there to commemorate what I perceive as the best event in the region. It is the equivalent of Pebble Beach or Cavallino for the Midwest and I *SO* hope that it is back on the calendar next year. Please, please, please FCA make it happen again. looks to me like we could have had the event this year... no cranes... (wasnt that the reason for not doing it???)
Well, there were no cranes at the Esquire (it looked like they were rehabing it, that car in front of me was from a bunch of workers working on the interior), but there were two other buildings that did undergo external renovation and those construction sites would have been an obstacle. Also when the FCA had to make the go/nogo decision things might have been different. We don't know any of that and hindsight is always 20/20. I'm not complaining, just trying to express that as a long time member of the FCA I really, really miss this event and that I really hope it'll be on next year. Also it would be nice if the Esquire won't be torn down.
hello, then maybe they'll (FCA) make this years "Italian Village" event that much more special. never been to it, but this is just makes it a can't miss event. thoughts?
There is a good chance that more people than usual will show up for the Italian Village event, because it doesn't get competition from other local FCA concourses. Looking forward to it.
