Ferrari reported this to Bloomberg today noting that the world wide recession will not hurt their sales. Porsche reported the same noting that they should wheel out app. 30,000 units.

I thought that Montezemolo said Ferrari would never exceed 5k units per year - ever in order to ensure the exclusivity....

A little after he said that, he doubled potential factory capacity to 10,000 units per year. Watch what a man does; not what he says.

I think he set the limit at 10k, not 5k. Ferrari can't really expand too much more than that anyways

In the mean time, the number of billionaires in the world more than doubled.

The trick is to always make fewer than are in demand.
