Ferrari ordering process...

Unfortunately this question is for my own curiosity and not for the purpose of ordering a car. How do people order a new Ferrari?
I think they go to a dealership, make a deposit and go through some cool computer program that shows what all the colors and specs look like on the car, then they decide. I don't know if that's how its done but its my best guess. Or do they merely go to the auto show and write their name and account number in a huge book at the Ferrari stand?
