Jim. I do agree 100% with your comments on "my views on education" and also your views and comments about; "the BS of outsourcing".
Also a good paying job and scholarship should be based on MERIT!!!!
    Thanks

Outsourcing does not work ... I had a personal experience of this on my last project. We are still fixing up/finding things that were never tested.

You get what you pay for, period! ... but there are hidden costs in outsourcing.

I can't believe it's taken over two years of responses to this PR troll for someone to simply state the obvious. ...Software engineers. Nothing more.

I hope they are different software engineers than the ones my company used ... admittedly we had a software testing phase outsourced. Thus because they did not know the application their testing was er, incomplete and we are still tripping over huge bugs.

If MS's Ferrari grinds to a halt next year, I know who I will be blaming ... outsourcing ;) (not necessarily Tata, cause outsourcing is like working blindfolded).

While I would like to reduce the role of software engineers in F1 too ... even though I am one :) ... er, not much happens on a modern F1 car without some code either monitoring it, controlling it, or helping the monkey driver do it.

IMO (for racings sake) software should only be used to control the engine and for monitoring ... but that will never happen. Now we have software continually splitting torque to each rear wheel to maximise traction, etc. ... thus with traction control the monkey once lined up can just nail it.

So, I guess you could describe this TATA as being bodacious!
