That as a great race, just look at Alesi making a fool out of those williams boys...if Frank hadn't been an idiot he would have had Jean in the car an no way he would have lost 94 and 95 titles.

And let's not forget that he was last because Fisichella was "advised" to run into Michael. Look for it, it's out there. I will not do your homework. ;)

Let's be clear. He did NOT want to leave Ferrari in 2006. He was forced out by Montezemolo [The main reason why I despise him]. After Michael announced his retirement in 2006 at Monza he went on to win the race and refused to shake Montelemolo's hand or acknowledge his presence. The video of that moment is priceless.

Who was the best ferrari driver ever? Niki Lauda. He brought Ferrari back from the bottom, and they stayed at the top until the early 1990's. before falling back down till Schumacher.
Who was worst? Arturo Mezario. - very good in Sports cars - terrible in F-1. He was at Ferrari when they reached the bottom in 73.
Which race was your favorite ever? either the 1990 British Grand Prix or the 1985 Monaco Gp.
What car represents the best F1 Ferrari produced? Pretty: 1976 312t2, fastest: F2002, most mystique: 1982 126C2
What car should we all try to forget? 1992 was terrible with the double bottom.
Hold old were you when you first fell under the spell of the red cars of Maranello? 3-4, we used to go to Watkins Glen every year and the noise from the Ferrari, Matra and BRM always caught my attention. when Matra left F-1 Ferrari became my favorite. I love the connection between the man and machines.

The F1 fans of today don't know what they are missing. If they could experience the glorious sound of those engines they would desert the current leaf blowers in a heartbeat.

Totally agree. I remember going to Paul Ricard in 89 - 90, you could hear the F-1 cars warming up in the garages from miles away. it was so cool . today you barely hear them until they come into view... even then you hear the regeneration and braking more than engine noises.

That's why we were so excited when Ferrari brought their F1 Clienti program to Road Atlanta last March. Consider this video of Marc Gene destroying the existing track lap record by five seconds in Bud Moeller's F2003-GA. The picture quality is terrible but the sound's the thing:

Awesome sound, that’s what f1 is supposed to be, of the ****ty wheezy ******** cars we have now with their minuscule engines and complicated electrics.... just pure speed and DRAMA from the car, not drama from which drivers haircut changed this week, or which one is upset cos his teammate stole his handbag.....

Au contraire. While I agree about current F1's tepid turbo soundtrack, F1 has always been (certainly since the mid-sixties at least) a circus awash with petty drama, gossip, hangers-on - and of course plenty of trendy driver haircuts, dubious fashion forward style choices (and of people snickering at them.) :)

Not sure why you're eschewing my general point...which obviously has nothing to do with Jacques per se...
