What part of the state are you looking at? As for servicing, I believe they still do some basic service work at Ferrari South in Jackson, but I am not 100% sure on that. Most of the folks in the southern part of the state use Lindsey Automotive in New Orleans, and are generally very happy with his service. I have met Jim, the owner, a couple of times and he seems like a very sharp guy. I know some guys up north, and am not sure where their service is done. I do not know of anyone in the Memphis area off the top of my head, but there may be someone. Most of the guys I know with Ferraris up there ship them to Atlanta for service.

    Welcome to Mississippi!

Yep, Nathan has the right answers there.

Last time I was at Ferrari South they were still doing work but that was admittedly several years ago. It would be worth checking them out. I think they are still owned/operated by the same folks at Ferrari of Atlanta, so there is a definite connection there.

The last few times I have passed by Ferrari South, they were closed. i think all of their service work is handled in Atlanta.

Depending on the vintage, Capitol Sports Center in Jackson can work on Ferrari's.

UMC huh? I spent the better part of a decade there through med school/residency/fellowship, so any questions you have on that place, just let me know! If nothing else I can recommend some good lunch spots in the area. What department are you going to be in?

You are making a good call with looking for a place in Madison, there are really only a few pockets of "nice" areas in Jackson proper, and even those have much more crime to worry about compared to Madison or Rankin county, plus amazingly crap-tastic public schools if you have kids. Basically if you are outside of Hinds county you are probably ok. Madison, Gluckstadt, Flowood, and Brandon are your best bets. If you haven't bought a place yet, you may want to look at the Reservoir area as well. Don't know if being on the water appeals to you, but there are some very nice neighborhoods on both the Madison and Rankin county sides of the Reservoir. I will PM you my number, please don't hesitate to call with any questions. My wife grew up in Jackson and I spent a decade there until I moved here to Hattiesburg 3 years ago, so we can point you in all the right directions.

As for Jackson area Ferraris, I do know a couple of guys up that way. One is an occasional fchatter who has had several nice cars and has a 458 on order last time I talked to him, don't know if it has arrived yet though. At some point you will want to go eat at Bravo, Sal & Mookie's, or Broad Street Bakery....all three are great restaurants. Ask for the owner, his name is Dan, he has a really pretty blue California. I have seen a couple of Lambos running around from time to time, but don't know who owns them. There is also a 550 I have seen a few times. Ed Wettach who owns FOA actually lives in Jackson, and I am sure he keeps a car or two in town. The president of the Mississippi region FCA is fchatter gerard.hansen, he is a really nice guy and could put you in touch with some folks too. Speaking of, we really need to get some Mississippi region activities set up, it's been a while since we've done anything that I know of.

Small World! My wife and I are in the process of moving to the Madison MS area as well, once we complete the sale of our place in New Orleans. Also looking at the 'Res" lake homes. I will be bringing my F-Car and 280 SL maybe we can get toegther once all is settled.
    Good Luck!

Can't go wrong with a place on the reservoir...I really miss it since moving to Hattiesburg. If we were still in the Jackson/Madison area that's where we'd be for sure.
