Hey all, just checking to see if we have any Ferrari owners in Potomac MD who are up for once in a while casual meetup/coffee on weekends? The FoW meetups are far for us & I feel it’s unnecessary miles added to the cars.

Let me know if there is any interest & we can meet up at the village or some country clubs in the area.

So…. a bunch of dudes who like starring at their cars and bullshitting, but are afraid to put miles on them? :D

You know what would be fun, if I lived in Potomac, would be a drive up to the Dickerson MARC station and a BS session in that little lot that’s there. Nice drive, cool location, great photo op.

I used to drive up there and take pics. Here’s one of my B7 from 2017.

Why not just head over to Katie's? It's not terribly far from Potomac.

I have a red F12 and live about 30 minutes from Potomac area. I was at FoW last weekend... there aren't that many decent meets around this way.

Another great place to meet would be Sugarloaf Vineyard.

No offense Andy, but you need to explore your part of the world a little more. So mush to see!

Katie’s is a standing Saturday car meet up that starts around 7am and runs to 9 or 10. They get some great cars there, and good variety.

It’s held at Katie’s Coffee House in Great Falls, VA

I live in unincorporated Rockville right near the Potomac border and go to FoW meets pretty regularly. They are totally worth it. Your car will enjoy the miles. The best way to do it is to go to Katie’s that Saturday morning and enjoy the huge show and then head up route 7 to FoW for the double header.

There used to be a regular Cars and Coffee in Potomac Village but, like many meets, it was ruined by some jerks revving and driving too fast, and the local businesses declared us no longer welcome. No more meets in the village. It has moved to a twice a month location in Poolesville. Follow Potomac Cars and Coffee on Facebook or Instagram for more info on that.

To keep up with all car meets and shows from Virginia Beach to Baltimore follow “Fairy Squad Mother” on Facebook. She posts lists of all meets each week on Friday night (for Saturday) and Saturday night (for Sunday). She sometimes does special posts other times too if there are a lot of Friday night meets for example.

There are quite a few Ferraris in the Potomac area - probably 50-100 or more - from prominent collectors to individual hobbyists. If you have not done so you should also join the Ferrari Club of America and affiliate with the Mid-Atlantic Region (FCA-MAR). They’re not great with social media but sign up for the email lists. The number of events has increased since the pandemic and there are probably 15 official events each year now, plus FoW events and non-sanctioned events.

If you are active on other social media platforms, I would follow Glaswerks in Sterling. They are a high end shop doing PPF etc and often host cars and coffee events.

From Potomac, I'd check out the Capital auto group. cars and coffee twice a month at Montgomery mall and several regional activities (http://capitalautoclub.com/eventshttp://capitalautoclub.com/events)

also, GRIP does a specific super car event at the clarksburg outlet on 270 each June. I brought my 488 at 9:30 am, when I left at 12, there was still a 2 car wide line waiting to get in.

How is the POOLESVILLE C&C? It seems mostly classics from some of the socials...

Pretty weak these days, to be honest. You typically get a variety, including 3-4 exotics, but a limited number total.

I thought so, it seemed that way. Another thing I feel is lacking is lack of organizing for Ferrari owners... yes FCA and the MID ATLANTIC REGION do have a calendar and things like that, but I am not aware of like a private Ferrari group so we can do stuff ourselves or perhaps there is one already and I have not met them.

Anybody coming to the FCA NOVA Fall Rally 10/29?
I only know garage queen Ferrari type of owners in this area, so I am hoping to meet some Ferrari drivers at this rally. I love drivng with other Ferrari owners. My friend and I would like to create a private Ferrari Driver's Group for this area.

Yes, I will be there. And given the gorgeous weather I think we are likely to have a very strong showing.
