Since I do the FXX registry website I figured it would help out to put up a mini-site about the P 4/5 to help inform people about the car. Feel free to pass this along to various sites that are having discussions about the car. This is the first round of it, I will be working on it today and will have another update for tomorrow. Please feel free to comment via PM or email.

Nice information. My only critiscism is that some of the pictures are horizontally stretched. A car of such perfect proportions should be represented completly accurately.

The CAD in the car is very cool. Any chance for a release of the files Jim?

    Amazing car!!

    car is cool.
but i think the eclipse in the window behind it in the first pic is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTT
    jkjk

its a great car but i do have one question?
why is it that in the first pic the headlights are solid black as if they were extreemly tinted, yet in a later one theyre quite transparrent?
is the 1st one a pshop?
i like the 2nd version better

Also the left and right margins need to be set so the text is not right up on the eage of the page.

The second one you see is the real car, the first with the black headlights is merely a full scale model to test aero.

Update #2 has been published. There may be some temporary downtime with the website as I am transferring it over to a different hosting company to handle the bandwidth alot better. This also goes with the FXX Registry.

I adjusted the margins so it isn't all the way to the left and put up a picture gallery. I will have all of the photos I currently have up by tomorrow, as well as the photos fixed on the main page.

I noticed the main site is down, a temp URL has been setup at http://www.fxxregistry.tk/ . You will be able to navigate to P 4/5 section from there. I will update when the .com is up and running.

    Thanks!

Does it appear that the photos are stretched on the main page, photos page, or both? They actually shouldn't be stretched at all as I used the same ratios when I shrunk the photos, but I assume it's just the program I used. I'm going to try to shrink them in photoshop tomorrow to see if I get a better result.

it will be a great site soon as you get the pics sorted out. it is important to have the porportions correct-as you know.

I sure do hope the travel channel etc does a show on this car, it is truely worthy of it and good busness for them.

The pictures that were getting resized/stretched should be fixed. Let me know if they are not.

I also got a dedicated domain/host so it will no longer be linked to the FXX Registry. Will post info once it is setup.

    Thanks posting the photos..

To reduce the load on your server and to speed up page load times, can I suggest you have smaller 'thumbnail' images that we can then click on the see the larger/higher resolution images?

If you create the thumbnail images, you can also get a better image without the jagged edges that results from the browser resizing the image on the fly.

For example, instead of having image DSC_1077.jpg (1.85MB) at 2890 x 1842 pixels load on the first page, resize the image perhaps at 800x510 and save it, it would be around 76kb. Call it DSC_1077_thumb.jpg and have that load up in the page, with a link that when you click on the image, it then loads up the full image 1.85MB image.

So to load the first page would download less than 1 MB of data, instead of 6 MB.

    Hopefully that makes sense :)
