The only four Fchatters who have defended Naples Motorsports (Naples, JamieO, Gam4, and Hunter360) are all unsubscribed to Fchat.

I looked seriously at a couple of Modenas before deciding on mine. With the others, the dealers wouldn't budge on the price. I declined solely on principle. FoSF had a good car for a good price, and we were able to negotiate to a very good price. So I bought it.

    Interesting car.

Question on the exhaust: what do the other two cylinders do? Hold it?

first off, I'm not trying to bash you in any way... I'm just telling you of my experiences with Naples. 2nd, you're telling me that you went through all the trouble of looking up a stupid survey that was on Boston.com from god knows when w/ my name in it and came to the conclusion that I've never bought a car and that I'm probably talking about my daddy's cars?? That has to be one of the dumbest things I've heard. I'm 30 years old and I've bought almost 10 cars from Todd in the last 10 years... with my own money, not daddy's.

I never said I wasn't friends w/ Todd & Rob. I said that I knew them from when they lived in the Boston area so no, I guess I'm not a totally impartial customer....but I don't have to buy cars from them every year. I choose to because I feel I keep getting great cars at fair prices. I also don't see a problem w/ referring people to them if I've had good experiences there. People refer other Fchatters to dealerships all the time on this forum and I've never seen you rip someone else for doing so. I've sent many people to Naples Motorsports or at least told them of a particular car that was there. I've even referred my brother (who bought a Porsche & a Ferrari from them) and everyone that I sent to them has had good experiences and would go back.

Does Naples discount cars as much as some dealerships, no they don't. It's possible that the price on the car you were looking at was firm and they weren't willing to move from it since every deal is different. Maybe they paid more for that particular car and already put a good amount of money into via a service, tires, etc... I've always got very close to what I paid whenever I traded a car back to them. You never said how much you were trying to get them down on the car you were interested in. Was it a couple grand or $10k? If someone came in (or called) and tried to really low ball them then no, they're not going to take you too seriously... not many dealerships would (have you checked the prices at authorized Ferrari dealerships?).

In the end you are entitled to your opinion, as am I, but I do take offense to you tearing me apart when you obviously don't know me or anything about me except for what you saw on an online survey from a few years ago. I know this is probably going in one ear and out the other with you since your only response to everyone that said something positive is "you can't tell me they do negotiate, they don't." It's pretty hard to have an intelligent conversation with someone when they aren't willing to listen to other sides of the story. Todd gave you his number and told you to call if you were unhappy with any part of you experience with Naples Motorsports (whether you bought a car from him or not). I suggest you give him a call the next time you're looking for a car, whether it's a Ferrari or something else, and give him a chance to prove himself to you. If you're fair with them in what you expect to get then I'm sure he'll be fair with you and you'll probably end up with you picture on the recent sales page more than once. If you want to buy Ferrari's with higher mileage, that aren't 10's and for wholesale prices then don't bother going there. If you like to buy pristine cars and are willing to pay a fair price (they're definitely not the lowest but they aren't the highest either) then you won't find a better dealership to work with.

    Take care, and happy holidays.
    -Jamie

Lawwdog, I'm sorry about the hijack and this is the last post I'll make in this thread that doesn't involve talking about the ugly interior and funny looking exhaust on the red 360 spyder!

Todd, I must admit I did not read the thread, nor plan to, but I would like to tell you I think your presentation of cars is one of the best in the business. When I am looking for cars, which is almost always, I love an add with lots of pictures. Very honest and always well done. Kudos.

As far as that car goes, I actually like the tan pipiing on the red, but the whole red thing is too boulevard for my taste.

Hey Mario, I started my post before yours came up. Promise!!!! ;)

I dont know, the interior isnt to awful (not my taste) but I just cant figure out why the 6 tips. Okay, if it was a 12 cyl then at least it would divide - but 6 for an 8cyl. I dont get it.

What world do you live in? If they dont know how to accept or are not set up to accept a personal check and be gauranteed the amount, it makes me wonder what they are doing.
ANY merchant can accept a personal check and be gauranteed funds thru electronic verification, not much different than using a cc card.
I have always used and accepted checks when doing business, and as long as you do it properly, you will never be screwed.

Ever heard of Identity fraud? I work in the banking industry and we constantly have clients whose Identity was stolen and drafted checks in there name... ex. Person to go unnamed but He' has a net worth of over $100 Mil. had is wallet stolen at a Hotel. 6 months later a customer walked into A local Mercedes dealer and pretended to be the unnamed person and wrote a check for $165,000.00 for a CL65. The check was drawn from my bank and was electronically approved. The problem was that by the time the bank received the physical check they realized the signature and check was fake. The vehicle was later recovered at Canadien border.

The interior remindes me of a 70's Monte Carlo - I hate it.

First of all I want to say I am amazed at the community out there! This is one of my first times on here and I want to thank you for your time / suggestion.

I don't want to come off and say our prices are "Firm". I do try to work with people as much as we can. If I feel we are overpriced I will always try my best. My best speach is to say I price things fair. I may not be the cheapest but I'm not the most expensive. Some of our cars we spend a lot on them and we need to re-coup. I don't want people to think that are cars are more money because we are greedy - that's not the case.

In a perfect world the car business would have set prices... we wouldn't have the back and forth games and everyone would be happy. Of course that's not the case. Believe me. I HATE the back and forth games myself. Why? Because we have to deal with it everyday. I am in the middle of building a new house. I didn't even haggle with the builder. I just said "treat me fair and give me a fair price". I picked the best builder I felt for the best value. They were not the cheapest but I felt I would save in the long run because of the quality.

Again - thank you! Maybe we can do something in the future.

I appreciate your response as well. I am sorry about the mis-communication. I spoke to Rob today who you were originally talking to. When you first contacted us we have an agreement with another person in California on the car. It would not have been fair to sell it to someone else after we agreed upon selling to him even though we didn't have money in house. Our word is our bond. As far as checks go I respect your position. You must please put yourself in our shoes. We deal with 20+ deals a month. We are in a very high risk for fraud including idenity theft. We've seen it all from fade ID's, stolen checks, and even fake certified checks. Our insurance company that insures us demands that the only form of payment is a wire xfer. Other than that we are at risk. Believe me if we knew each other from another transaction it would be a different story. We did not mean to insult your intregitry in any way at all. We would not expect someone to drive with $90k in cash either. As a matter of fact this may sound strange but we don't even accept cash unless our bank is open and you would take it there. It's too bad this day and age we need to be like this but we've had several bad experiences that it's easier to set up a policy and stick with it. The latest scam is that someone will ask for our account number to send a wire then they make a check up using our information. It's a crazy world out there! I'm glad you got a car and you are happy. Maybe down the road you would give me another try. As far as not returning your call I applogize if it slipped through the cracks. I am not trying to make an excuse but it's basically Rob and myself and sometimes there's not enough time in the day.

That car looks like a used tampon exploded in it. And the pipes look like they should be attached to an organ at a pizza and pipes restaurant.

AND...I would not drive that car if it was given to me for free, but I would pour some gasoline in it and then toss in a flare.

Mario that was good huh? that is what you were waiting for...it is all true what I said.

That is what this thread is about - that ugly 360 with pizza and pipes exhaust pipes.

Instead - half of the posts on this thread are about a dealer and his pricing. Who cares !!!!

glad you read the thread and posted appropriately - see you read and comprehend well !!!

Discussing a well-known dealership, their pricing structure and service is FAR more important to the community than whether you think an interior is ugly. If you don't like it, don't freaking buy it. Quit acting like a 12 year old boy at a Michael Jackson sleepover.
