http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/61902 ******* Kimi said that he had been told that Ferrari might not be as strong at Fuji as they have been elsewhere. I really hope this can help us. New front and rear wing are some of their planned upgrades.
I know that, but from this article, it sounds a bit more significant than the changes they make from race to race.
Hopefully. As someone said in another track, this kind of looks like a track that would suit McLaren better, so this "major" aero upgrade must work out for us or Kimi's title hopes could be virtually over.
Best than to Kimi. I think Ferrari should make sure that Kimi has everything in his disposal at this point, the only track I think Massa may have a hand over Kimi maybe Brasil.
+1 Kimi should have superior strategy, etc. for the remaining races. If Kimi is somehow out of the title chances at the Brazilian GP, Ferrari should make their best effort to have Massa win.
i think Kimi was quoted saying that Fuji don't really suit the long wheelbase F2007. maybe that why they're doing some aggresive changes here. if they can deliver another 1-2 like yesterday at Fuji, it's a huge advantage mentally for us against the Mclarens.
Yep. If we can do well at Fuji like you said, we should be OK since we did pretty well in Shanghai and Interlagos last year.
...I think after Indy they know what is wrong, then in monza, they confirmed how and what the new aero package should work, we have had plenty of those BAD examples this year. CANT WAIT FOR FUJI...we need to see improvements here, cause that track looks really like indy accceleeeeeraaaate-brake-brake-brake... lets just say we still can rain on their parade if we win big time on FUJI...if we dont, then CIAO BAMBINO
From the looks of it, Ferrari didn't test any new aerodynamic parts today in Jerez. Hopefully we can see some new parts in the next days at Jerez.
+2 but is it as nice as how it was to race when we had V10s? i don't recall which driver it was saying that even in the most challenging circuits, it's not really challenging anymore because of the V8s...damn FIA.
Why bother with any more development for the '07 car? They already wrapped up what's left of the manufacturer's title. The driver's title is a really long shot.
not with mclaren self destructing. you think alonzo will be getting helping hands from now on? what about Hamilton, except for two bright spots, he's been on a slide since indy. kimi is by far the hottest driver in the second half of the season.
Starting 2009, the Japanese GP will be alternating between Suzuka and Fuji each year, so you will get your wish in 2009 or 2010.
Long shot? it's still possible. all we need is a repeat of the 1st corner tussle between Fred and HAmmi, and hopefully one takes off another. KImster leads a Ferari 1-2, and it's just 3 points behind Hammi with 2 races remaining. Long shot, i doubt.
...there is the long shot, I guess both Mc cars taking each other out is were our theory falls short...is possible, but VERY unlikely, now Hamilton KNOWS that if he´d try to pressure Alonso too much, and is not in a RACING line, he WILL put him in the wall...the good part would have been in SPA, back then there would have been no sign...now Hami knows too much... ...only good thing is FUJI has some VERY SMALL escape zones as far as I know...whoever makes a mistake, is gonna hit the wall...and I hope is not US...
For starters, anything they learn will most likely apply in some way to the new can. Also the old saying "to finish first, first you have to finish" still applies. Anything can happen at any race, it would be foolish to write-off the season before the last race is finished. It's true that at this point we need to 1-2 all 3 races which isn't very likely or both McLarens have to finish out of the top 4 at least once for some reasom...and that could easily happen. The season isn't over yet......
