NEW THREAD
In all seriousness I am being offered a lot of very nice cars. 250LM, 275 NART Spyder, 250 GTO's. If any of you are really interested let me know. Please don't wank. I have no financial interest in these cars. Strange Days.
Tony George's 250LM, or the one with full interior in NART colors........ I'll stop and get some LOTTO on the way home...... I am sure you are a lightning rod, for such offers. Sorry about that!
Last time I looked, it was still in the Museum, but you know, they lost one of AJ's sprint cars, spirited out of the infield storage when backs were turned.........
As Marcel pointed out there are 20 Lusso's for sale. There's a nice one at Gooding's Auction this Saturday. Details on his site.
If you're seriously interested call David and talk to him. He's a good guy and want's to see cars trade.
YOU ARE FINALLY admitting this publically !!!!!! First step to recovery ZAUSNER,OTTIS,SHAUGHNESSY have told you this was coming for the past two years! TREES do not grow to the sky Well least we have step one accomplished, Now what will you do???
Hmm, seems like we are missing the message that was here. Deleted after some thought? Or the comment from Tom S?
No you can only 'edit" for 30 minutes, he reconsidered before Mr. G and I joined in..... Are there 11 more steps to go now, Tom S?
http://auction.goodingco.com/product.g&c?pid=217 It is a very nice car, I was hoping the target price would be more in the 500 range, or do you think that is unrealistic even in this market?
All I know is that I am getting calls from dealers that several months ago would barely take my call. Some of these guys must be desperate to sell! Wonder if we will see a comensurate drop in price for services?
Matt, I told you to keep your beauty! This is the time to buy a Dino as well...... Enjoy, mind you if you sold the car you would had the money but too afraid to do anything with it. So it stays on your bank (or under the mattress) then one day the bank is gone (or the mattress is lifted.........) Ciao Oscar ps looking for a nice F40 or 288......hey your post is gone????
I personally would not consider a car nice or otherwise from 6 little photos and the auction house's self serving verbiage. Paint and upholstery are relatively cheap but can mask so much.
I don't think you are being unrealistic but if you're seriously interested you should first call David and if you feel good about the conversation fly out, inspect the car, and if you like what you see bid what you are willing to pay.
Tom: You have always given me great advice. I kept the tick tick tick e-mail from 6 months ago. I guess I am just ready to let her go yet. Only 200 miles on it since the restoration and looking forward to many thousands more. Oscar: 275 50th reunion tour is only 5 years away! Happy motoring, matt p.s. I just started this thread (heading) to get Tom's attention. He has been quiet for a while.
Matt don't jump!!!!! It's not worth it !!! It's only a car! (and besides you are only on the first floor of the hospital) Happy Motoring!!!
I do not understand. Prices may have been falling some.... but thats all about to stop. I have it on good authority (from CNN) that "The Defining Moment in History" (that is the exact quote from their TV ad for coverage of this event) will take place within the next 48 hours. Rumor has it that magic dust will be involved and asset values will instantly return to 2006 peaks. Why anyone would sell before this universe altering quantum paradigm change happening takes place is beyond me. People are throwing money away! Hold onto your vintage Ferrari (or LA suburb flip house) and sell it next month for double! Terry
Though I´m interested in the market I think there are too many threads related to the value of the things we like, Ferrari. This is becoming more like MoneyChat than FerrariChat. Just my feeling. I love nice cars. Regards. Cris.-
Hammer for Gooding GTL was 640K, 60K under low estimate. In May 2008 a GTL sold at RM for $1,702,250. Last night a GTL hammered at RM for 550K.
+100,000,000 Maybe the mods can merge all of the market value threads into one (or make a sub section within the vintage section)?
