I have been looking for a nice 360 coupe or 355 Berlinetta and it seems to me that prices are going up and also that good cars are VERY hard to find.

    Others experiences?

Have noticed the same. But I think it's either that the desparate sellers are mostly gone, or the economy is getting better and sellers are holding on to them longer. Just keep looking...

    Let's try again.

If you wanted to buy one at a reasonable price would it be hard?

If you want to buy one six months from now will it be hard?

If you want to buy one six months from now will it cost less than it will today?

355 and 360 prices are still dropping, but maybe not quite as rapidly as they were dropping over the past year and a half. Since neither jobs nor housing will be leading the economic recovery maybe used ferraris will! ;-)

If it isn't hard now, then it shouldn't be in six months

355 prices are on the way up! Yes, especially 97 355B's in Argento. Expect them to top $100K by the end of the year. BTW, my 97 Argento 355B isn't for sale!

(Unless you believe me and want to pay the $100K now in anticipation of all that future appreciation!)

One aspect is that future maintenance costs will either remain the same in 6 months or appreciate in cost. Regardless of the model. Those 550 Maranello prices are surely tempting, that V-12 looks just like the 612 engine and to have it in a manual 6 speed would be cool.

So after financing the whole cost amount, how do you want to pay for the 30k or just a simple clutch or brake job?

The car may tarnish, but the maintenance is solid gold.

Obviously silver 355s are going through the roof. We were talking about other Ferraris.

I saw two 328 GTBs listed recently at 90K and 100K. My net worth increased a lot while I slept!

See, that’s why I diversified my portfolio and have both a 328 and a 430.
That way I'm covered no matter which way the market goes down.

My '05 has not changed in value much in the last 18 months. Seems the bottom end has been holding at about 110K+/-. I'm sure the newer ones are a different story.
