If your Momo Force wheel is black with a shifter you have the Nascar version of the Momo Force wheel which they still sell. The red Momo Force wheel is paddle shift and I think they stopped making it. The force feedback on my red Momo Force works on Gran Turismo3 and F355 Challenge on the PS2
Ah thanks. Yes I believe mine is NASCAR (Yikes!): It actually has a "stick shift" and paddles. So I can use the paddles for current F1 (F1 2002 Challenge) and the stubby stick for e.g. CART and to some degree GPL.
http://xbox.gamezone.com/gzreviews/p24069.htm is a review of Forza Motorsports. Should be interesting to see if it stacks up against Gran Turismo3 and 4. I know xbox has better graphics than ps2 but its the physics engine and gameplay I'm more concerned about.
So true. It is all about physics engine IMHO. I have thrown so many games out the window because they were just that. Games.
I still plop down coin to play F355 challenge international edition. Its so damn fun as the speakers are behind your head and the 6 spd manual is decent. I think the physics and elevation details on F355 are much better than Gran Turismo3. it is most evident looking at Laguna Seca. The Gran Turismo3 version doesnt get the corkscrew elevation correct. F355 is far and away the most realistic look and feel of Laguna compared to driving the real track with a sports car.
Same here, when I find the 355 Challenge with three monitors in an arcade, I can't resist. BTW: I keep being blown away by the graphics in F1 2002 Challenge. You mention elevation changes and you're so right that this is important: I was practicing the French GP this week and for the first time I realized how the hill slightly climbs up towards the end of the track (before you go downhill to the chicane and the pits complex). Never noticed that in GP4 before. Way cool. Even the physics support this, you don't need to brake as hard uphill. Of course.
