I have a few questions and comments regarding a new Ferrari purchase, and also the local dealer here in Sothern California.

The other day my girlfreind was saying she wanted a new car. She had been looking around and found a nice audi. She said it was being sold through Ferrari Maserati So Cal. "WTF, more *******s I thought". I went with her down there to humor her. A mand by the name of Steve Budvitis helped her in looking at the Audi, while I spent time looking at a 430 that recently arrived.

Between looking at the cars, I caught on that Steve was one hell of a nice guy. I decided to talk to him more just to see if he was in it for the sale or actually a gentleman. Suprisingly, he was just a genuine, good person... As a result, I popped for the Audi for my girlfriend.

    Then I got to thinking...

I have a marketing company here in So. Cal that has grown with tremendous success over the past few years. I think its time to reward myself with something cool. I've had many other exotic/luxury cars but nothing that I felt really good about. Good in terms of wanting to take care of, customize, and fall in love with. Being 24, I have the pleasure of receiving every rude comment known to man from every ******* exotic salesman I have come in contact with (aside from Steve). Working 12+ hours a day on my business and clients it is hard for me to spend time weeding through the *******s to find a good guy I can purchase this car, and future cars from. Someone who will take care of me with regards to my cars. It might not make sense to your if you're older, but if you have been my age in my situation you will relate to what I am saying.

So, now I'm moving towards poppin for a 360F1 coupe, either Yellow/blk or Red/blk.

I want to work with Steve on this sale, but I think he might not deal in the Ferrari's. He refered me to another salesman at the dealership so I called to talk to them. By the time the receptionist tried to transfer me I just hung up. The ABSOLUTE rudest ***** I ever talked to on a phone that I can recall. Being fair, maybe she was standing in a pool of acid with a chinaman pulling her fingernails out. Don't quite know. All I do know is if I can't work with Steve, who can I work with? Who will put up with my million questions about cars and picky nature? Who will take me serious enough to make time for me to take a test drive of different cars to find the one I like? Maybe I am dreaming, and if I am I will probably just not purchase a new car. Instead I will continue to get my kicks from developing the most powerful marketing campaigns in the world. At least this way when I come in contact with *******s I can simply clip them.

Thats my story. I donated to the board here because I felt like the info I soaked up here over time as a lurker was well worth it. Appreciate it.

    Take care

Looks like Im going to be booked for time until April 1st as far as time goes, but I am 95% sure I will pull the trigger on a 360 around that time.

Do you think that FOC is good to buy from? How is their service?

I will go down to meet with Pat. Can anyone else vouch for Pat? Or have any other recommendations?

All of this is if Steve cannot make the sale.

    Appreicate your feedback MM

Service at FoOC is first rate. As long as your car is under warranty it makes sense to go there, otherwise it may work better(less expensive) to find a good independant.

The sales people at FoOC are rather "aloof" I've found. I'm sure others feel differently but that's my experience. If you've already made a purchase you should get some respect however. I've herd that San Diego is a little more friendly and will give you a more "warm and fuzzy" feeling. I'd be surprised if you are allowed to test drive a Ferrari. Personally, I'd prefer to purchase directly from an owner. That way you'll get more of a feel for the history of the car. Having said that I used a broker for my first purchase. F-chat is a great resource for finding a car too. People will come out of the woodwork, discreetly, if you get the word out.

    Good luck with your search.

Popped an Audi? Popping a 360? Clip them? Chinaman?

What kind of company do you run again? Marketing?

It's kinda like riding in an exotic for a long trip, if you follow... Part of what I do is perfect copy all day, so online forums act as a relaxing outlet for communicating in any way I feel like, including using run on sentances, using blantant speling errors, and all sorts of slang phrases, ya dig?

It's nice to just talk, without worrying about exactly how you are saying it.

Maybe what I spoke about extends to more than just salesmen? In any case to each his own.

Really appreciate the comments srfcity and MM. Take care..

    Good luck!
Just remember, they get a lot of tire kickers... Once you establish you are qualified I think you will find the guys I mentioned very helpful.....

My only concern with brokers is they speak of the same cars the dealers can get in some case as the private sellers seem to sit back anyways and wait for the best offer. Warranty and conditon would be my concern. I bought mine new. I dont regret it. It was worth the extra money for peace of mind.
