Just had a Ferrari racing style exhaust for my 2003 360 spider installed. it is absolutely awesome sounding. Just enough robust sound when needed . When those valves open..Yeah..baby.....Soungs good at start up and while idling . It looks awesome inside the engine bay since its half the size. Plus its original Ferrari equipment. I had the original system . Perfect sound inside cabin and kick..... sound from behind......now it sounds like a Ferrari and I'm not embarrassed when somebody says "start it up and let's hear how it sounds.....".

This is good news to hear. I jumped on the racing exhaust train too and the car is at the dealer now for the install. Hopefully tomorrow i''ll get her back.

Did you get the ecu's reprogrammed? And if so, how long did it take? If you have any pics, that would be appreciated. I've seen folks talking about it, but haven't seen the actual unit installed.

Yes.. ECU's were programmed ....sent car in on Monday AM and picked up Friday PM of the same week..I'll try to get pictures.

Do you have a spider? Reason why I'm asking is because I'm told.....that the valves open later.

    Can some comment on that

Lots of exhaust choices out there. Im happy with the new ferrari racing exhaust. Dealer said that it adds 15 hp, doubt that i could feel that though. The sound is great. It replaces a larini exhaust that one of the previous owners had installed. The new exhaust is not nearly as loud as the larini, its controlled and just right. Here are a couple pics.

I'm doing the same soon, will document fully as part of then CS creation thread. The Larini is valve-less so it constantly screams, if you want a screaming exhaust that sounds great on downshifts and the overrun then Larini is it.

I know you disconnect an electrical connector or something to open the valves on the standard 360 exhaust. Is this the same as on the racing exhaust? And if so, where are the connectors? Any pics for us mechanically challenged?

I too just recently had the Ferrari Racing Exhaust put on, along with reprogrammed ECU's. It is definitely 1000% better than stock. Not quite my 355 with Capristo Stage 3, but not bad either. It was a good investment. Plus it is Ferrari OEM equipment- definite bonus.

70000213 is a USA version of the kit for example. There are several different versions, depending on the vehicle market and Spider/non-Spider variants.

I just purchased the sport exhaust also, but the dealer is saying that I can't use the ecu's because my car is 03 and the ecu's are only for 2004 and 2005 cars.I think I spent $$$ for book ends.Is there any way I can get them programmed for my 03 spider because my dealer is not any help.

Ask them to contact FNA. Or if you're close enough to Philadelphia, contact Michael Bloch the Service Manager at Algar Ferrari. They installed my exhaust and sent my ECU's to FNA to get reprogrammed.

My '04 360 (non C.S.) was factory equipped with the race exhaust as well as the carbon fiber air boxes. These CF air boxes give better airflow as well as a more aggressive note which, combined with the race exhaust, make for an amazing sounding 360. Everyone who heard it agreed it was probably the best sounding street legal 360 they had ever heard. All the parts and pieces were original Ferrari so the credit is all theirs :)
