    My buddy had this really cool item for his Shelby Mustang. It was a sheet of paper that analyzed the entire VIN. For instance, it inidicated that there were X models produced, with only X in green, and of those, only X where shipped to the western U.S., and of those . . . . and this is that car.

    Has anyone seen anything like this, and if so where can I get it done?

    Maybe I misunderstood but why are you asking about Mustang information here ? This site covers a differnt breed of horse !

    Sorry just read your title - your profile suggests you don't own a Ferrari but if you did own an older Ferrari (pre 1980 I think) there's a similar certificate for free from the factory owners website although not in so much detail

    I think he's talking about the 17 digit VIN (Vehicle Identity Number). I know Edvar van Daalen knows all about this. There's an explanation is on his site www.red-headed.com.

    I have a 1997 355. I was looking for this type of breakdown for my car.
