Binotto would be wise to remember how Enzo would deal with the press....... say what the **** he wants, and to hell with the consequences and what they want to write. Binotto must do what he has been doing, working on repairing the confidence of ferrari and building the team. Whatever he says to the press will be misconstrued, switched around, picked apart, it really matters not what his true opinion on anything is. **** the press, **** us armchair experts....... he is the man in the hot seat that risks the loss of his job if he messes up, so we must encourage him and support him as and when we can if ferrari are to recover from their inability to win at the moment.

The politics of the sport are too much these days, but Enzo would have kept his head down, said what he wanted to say and no more, no less, and if he decided one driver needed orders over another, he did it regardless of the fallout

Hummmm, sometimes the fallout meant that Ferrari lost drivers, technicians, and championships too !!!

The situations are different: Ferrari was the boss, Binotto is an employee, therefore expendable.

At the moment though he needs to concentrate only on ferrari, screw journalists and their copy, screw the FIA and Liberty. Do what Ferrari need for the moment and ignore the outside world. If I were him, I would appoint a press secretary to field comments and tell them to offer little of any depth

I agree with an embargo on information.
But it would be difficult to reconcile that with the obligations of the FIA.
The FIA mandates participation in stage-managed press conférences, interviews, etc ...
Binotto will be put at contribution there, and asked questions ...

If he is clever, he can talk a lot but say very little..... Jean todt himself was a master, as was Ross brawn in his day

MC! Good day! I posted something not long after Arrive was released that it was more complex than just Arrive being the issue. It alluded to Sergio having much to do with the situation and Arrive being subject to those inputs. Sergio was very much in control it seemed. No one is perfect and Arrive was not but probably he was the smaller part of the issue in total from what the article stated.
