no there was the 89/90 recession, but 348's suffered because many people realised that the 328 was a better car (and better looking).

btw euro 328's were much better than the emasculated Swiss-spec engines we got here.

 

a bit better. same torque but euro had about 10hp more top end. did a back to back dyno comparison.

 

Same with the 308's.
