congrats 1K miles. i have a question. Is it true that Roma’s steering handling feel is a very light compared to the other brands sports cars? (My concern is that I prefer a heavier streering feel like a german hydraulic streering feel). Thanks.
Theres a very nice blu pozzi (maybe? or the other dark blue) / black int. with black powder coated rims Roma at Ferrari Newport Beach for only 228k because its a demo car, probably the nicest Roma spec ive seen so far. Very elegant and understated with just the scud shields making it pop against the blue We ultimately decides to go with Porto M because we didnt like the roma’s digital dash/wheel, but im sure other people dont mind
Not sure who else is into something as juvenile as sliding around in empty parking lots, but when it rains on a work day, I always try out some small slides in the parking lot after everyone leaves ... I tried it with traction control off on a dry lot a few times, and although that is much more exciting, I basically tore my tires to shreds on the last attempt, so now it's mostly just wet tarmac with these fresh tires so far ... I find that at these low speeds I can't control the drift well enough yet with traction control off, so this video is just in race mode which makes it 100x easier (but also significantly limits how much you can slide it at these very low speeds)
I don’t have SURROUND cameras and wish I did. I have the standard audio and it’s not great. Idk how good the upgraded audio is.
The car is noisy overall in comparison to a regular car (first ferrari for me, but easily the noisiest car I have ever owned) ; i have the upgraded audio and it probably makes no difference . I have just stopped listening to the radio, pretty much … instead : switch to manual mode, rev the engine high and listen to that instead… that’s pretty much the only way to have an enjoyable sound directly from this car, I think . … and this may be a dangerous (illegal?) and sacrilegious workaround, but if you really want to get good audio, noise cancelling earbuds like Apple EarPods work wonders at cutting the engine sound; way better than any stereo can do it, and at a much lower volume .
Since we’re getting here the Bridgestone Potenza Runflat tires delivered on the car I can do that without wet streets [emoji23] These tires have zero grip and hard like a brick stone compared to the Michelin, but yes, if you like to slide you’d love those tires [emoji6] Have now almost 3800 km with the car and is great. If you “burn it in” a bit the sound opens up and I like it more and more….very nice job Ferrari! Image Unavailable, Please Login Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
Any must have options for the car? It seems like some of them might be: Magneride, either ADAS Full Pack or the more practical Back Radar, Surround View Also do we know if the sports exhaust are aesthetic only? Or do they sound different?
I opted out of the adas package. But have the surround and front and back sensors. Have the jbl audio which is very nice. As well as shields and LED steering wheel in carbon and passenger display. Only thing I would have added is AFS ( steering lights) and suspension lift but they were not offered. SV
Did you have the car lowered? The ride height of this car looks lower than most other cars I've seen!
Light steering is a Ferrari thing, I think it suits the cars. The steering is very precise and the light steering is pretty spot on I think.
Feedback and question. I opted to not get the led wheel on my Roma (first f car w/o). To me, the rim feels to small…especially at the top. Is it possible to have the dealer add a carbon/led steering wheel if not originally specd ? I imagine that the wiring harness is generic? I will ping my dealer but curious if others have done and I would suggest to add the driving zone to any build.
With all the Ferraris that I have looked at,Sport Exhaust just means a different finish on the exhaust tips.
Yep. Because that’s the other change I am making. Went standard and adding sport tips in next service. And they are bolt on so super easy
It is possible to add the LED wheel. It will be costly and require a software module update. I have it on mine and really enjoy it. SV
Yes indeed the car is lowered around 20 to 25mm compared to stock. It is the first Ferrari where adjusting the OEM suspension was a nightmare because from factory the platform ring of the dampers was fixed / locked. After some research our Challenge mechanics came up with a solution. Now I have a proper corner balanced car with my preferred alignment (camber and toe). I like the steering a bit more solid and the car less understeer and more oversteer. Enjoy your good looking car! Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
I did not get full ADAS package as I didn’t need the auto cruise aspect but the blind spot monitoring I feel is a must and that requires the electrochromatic mirrors. I also got the surround view cameras and again feel that is a strong option to have just makes life easier. The sport exhaust is just tips but they are not just cosmetic they do have these veins within the pipe and it does alter the sound making it slightly better than stock and I am still glad I got them. Same with the CF LED wheel glad I did it just adds to the drive but fundamentally doesn’t change anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quick question.... Anyone know what the price increase is for the 22 model? My Roma build completion date is later this month... I'm 10 months in... a couple of months left to go. This wait is crazy!
Can you share your alignment specs? I need to get my car in for corner balance and alignment. Was thinking -2.5 fc -2 rc slight toe out in the front and slight toe in rear.
I agree with everything you said, the full ADAS also gives you a nice ugly box in front of the car. Think Back, surround and electrochormic (which is required for I think back) are the most useful. On the exhuast, given it is mostly looks, still debating that one. Shiny, sporty or black.
The lifts I’m not 100 % convinced with. Our developer for our new house organized them since 4-post lifts was a too tight find according to him. I’m sure we could have fitted 4-posts so far… I’ll check which brand they are. But in general you have to be carful with this kind of lift to not curb your wheels.
