I know there is an event in New Orleans every year. I wonder how many F cars got damaged by the storm? Maybe some of the cars are in a nearby state that got flooded. Anyone here know of someone who lives there. I bet the power is out and the car is wet.

** Hundreds of thousands are w/o electricity and many have lost everything the own. If they left town and didn't take their cars, they are destroyed too.. Some of those guys owned history on wheels. It is a sad scene for all envolved.

The more you hear the worse it gets. I feel a lot of sympathy for all involved. The cars are just cars but I wondered if anyone knew for sure of any examples that were destroyed.

That is Franco's F430. Only about 5 weeks old. Not sure if he was able to store it in one of the highrise parking garages.

As for other Fcars damaged. I know Kelly Vince had to leave his 308 behind, but no word on if it got damaged.

Regardless, F-cars will roam the streets of N.O. once again. And this great city of ours will come back stronger than ever. It will just take resolve and strength.

Like I said on another thread, if us New Orleanians still believe in the Saints, there is NO WAY we will fail to rebuild this city bigger and better...

Question for you New Orleanians, wheres Mardi gras going to be? If need be I'm willing to let everyone come to my place. The backyard is spacious and i'll be sure to get plenty of beads, sound good?

Someone spoke of Galveston, TX but it will never be the same. I never had a chance to attend.

It shall return! Most likely not in N.O. this year, but no doubt it will come back.

Why don't they just leave the water in N.O. and turn it into the Venice of the US?

With the smell of this water - urinating in would improve it.

Next years Mardi Gras will be a bust. I think Mardi Gras 2007 will be what brings the city back togethor.

I was talking to someone who rides in Endymion today and he thinks that they might go all the way down Veterans and then have the party in the Ponchartrain Center, but who knows how much will be done in the city within 6 months.

It would be cheaper to rebuilt the levees than fix every building's foundation.

I think it did survive the water. The POS looters, however, are another story altogether.

Right now I'm in Houston. I already have my Hk .40 with 100 rnds, as well as my .308 CETME with 600 rnds. I'm goint to try to buy a Remington 870 Riot Shotgun before I leave. An extremely generous f-chatter has graciously offered his trailer, and when I go back to get my baby, I expect it to be a scene from The Road Warrior! This may offend the PC crowd, (don't care), but the way I feel right now, I PRAY I have the opportunity to "meet" some looters!

    Dave
BTW, just bought a laptop, so I'll be able to check in more often.

Heh, luckily most everyone has been taken out of the city. Regardless, be extremely careful.

And like I said, when you come back victorious, Im getting the first few rounds of drinky drinks in or around H-town.
