That's so cool!!!!!! I wish I had one when I was that age. Does anyonw know what kind of power these things put out? -G.B.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that 288!!!! Anyone have anymore info that one?? I love it!! Where can I get one? Thanks for sharing man.
No kidding, that 288 is the best one yet... Too good to have been a "production" toy so it must be a one-off. All of this reminds me that when I was around 12 or 13, I had seen at a local Porsche dealership (when I lived in Montreal at the time) a kid's version of a 911 Cabriolet. It too was gas powered but very small - Even at that age I was way too big for it It wasn't as expensive as these Ferrari models but not cheap either.
Is it me or does anyone else see, in the cockpit of that 288, both on the centre console and the steering wheel horn button, of what appears to be a kangaroo instead of a prancing horse?...
As a kid, I remember seeing one of those up for auction at Del Mar back in the early 90's... I couldn't stop thinking about it then, and since you brought it up - my niece and nephew would love that!
This thing is just too cool....I did a little research and they also built a Mondial and a Lambo. I think at the right price this thing would be a good investment...only 1 of 11. I may break down and contact the seller to see what his rock bottom price would be.....hoe could you possibly value this thing? Any ideas or thoughts? __________________ watch movies online
A Ft. Lauderdale dealer had a yellow 308 on display at the B-J Palm Beach auction this year. He said it was his, personally, but he'd be willing to let it go for $60K. - Paul
