I guess its alright, the cops here on campus use them, but for the Ferrari workers to get around the factory, Segway should just donate these to them, or exchange them for a Ferrari. :)

I'm going to wait and buy a pre-owned on the market that has the major w/belts done, my dealer unfortunately said I can't get on the list unless I buy the CS surfboard and the bathrobe.

....a-a-a-a-and the pimping of the Ferrari name takes another step down.....

I wonder if they'll stick a "2007 World Champions" plaque on it.......maybe some craptacular fender shields.......
    How embarrassing.

I'm still amazed at the Segway marketing. Although their product is quite interesting from the technical point of view, its price is simply disgusting. But they somehow have great success. I noticed that all of the Segways that can bee seen are bought by people who don't have to spend their own money, be it some company marketing gag or police etc...

I need to get one of those, not ride it and keep it in the garage, under cover. You know, save it for the next sucker ;)

From a design standpoint, anyone could've taken a Segway image and done this himself. I could do it in no more than 15 minutes, I'd like to see it in person.

That doesn't matter its about passion, the passion of driving a segway. Besides the Corvette segway is half the price and quicker around a track or mall.

I have a friend who bought the one out of the Ferrari store at Maranello during the 60th celebration and was having a blast cruising around on it in the infield. We were all hot and dreading the walk for refreshment and he was motoring. Not very nerd like IMO. He is planning to use it during vintage races as an alternative to a scooter. He had so much fun on it at Maranello that he actually drove it on the road to his hotel while his mechanic took his rather special Ferrari. Italian police were screaming at him like crazy. Ferrari Segway will be in his transporter as a fixture from now on.

Well at least it doesn't have any spinners, which are available for these segways.
