    Folks,

    Not sure if any of you have heard about a new series on SPEED Channel called "Ferrari Legends and Passions". Hosted by Alain de Cadenet it is brand new, and covers the recent auction at Maranello and traces the history of each of the unique cars up for auction. Also, there are some pieces about Formula One, the factory, and the new Classiche division. So far there are 2 episodes in the series. Sounds like more are planned. The next showings are:

    Monday 12/10: Episode 1 at 8:00 PM, Episode 2 following at 8:30 PM.
    Late Monday 12/10: Episode 1 at 12:00 midnight, Episode 2 following at 12:30 AM.
    Tuesday 12/11: Episode 1 at 8:00 AM, Episode 2 following at 8:30 AM.

    Yeah, when they are running PINKS marathons all the time, it is hard to find anything good in there at all. Speed is getting like MTV.

    They have been airing the show. I saw an episode. I thought it was a special and not a series so I didn't think to set it up to record future episodes.

    Speed wonders why nobody watches anything but nascrap. They had this series on 6 or 8 times a couple of weeks ago. I taped 4 of them. Surprise it was the same damn show each time. They would show 1 at 8 and another immediately after same show.

    so is it one show or a series? I just got speed!!!!! think i might have to spring for a tivo. man this is expensive just to see a few f1 races.

    On the National Geographic Channel, Thursday afternoon 12/13 from 4-5 PM is "Ultimate Factories" detailing the making of the 599 via a factory tour. It is a great show, and if any of you have gone to the Ferrari factory, it really shows you a lot of what you can not see on the tour, also.

    This show has been out a while, but always worth another look, or to be DVR'd for the collection.

    You can search google video for the factory show it is worth a watch.

    My DirecTv HD DVR box eliminated my National Geographic "Ultimate Factories" Ferrari program and it was in HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate there F***ing system!! Tivo never did this crap! Sorry, just had to blow some steam, anybody else have the DirrecTv version dvr??? The worst is a had plenty of room left in the storage space!

    I'm using the Comcast DVR and it seems to be fine, reliable, good storage space.

    Watched last night. Seems there are 4 episodes out because 1 of the 2 episodes shown last night was different than the 2 last week. Alan deCadenet does a nice job, lots of history and lots of trivia. Good background on the cars and models in general. Nice to see something done recently, too.
