We recently bought some property we plan to build on near Black Mountain. Are there any good service shops for older V12 Ferraris in the area? Are there other western NC early V12 owners on this forum?

    Thanks!

    Jack

PS: I'll also need service for an older (pre-74) Porsche as well.

For your Porsche take it to:

    Stuttgart Motorwerks
    Pete Martin
    237 Davis St
    Hendersonville, NC 28739-5263
    (828) 694-3510

He is a Master Porsche Technician.

Don't know of any V12 owners around town, but you may check with FCA-NC to see if they have any listed owners.

Thanks, Jeremy. Maybe I'll have to go to Charlotte for Ferrari service. Any techs there?

Yeah any good independent shops in Charlotte? I am moving to the area next month and will need a major first of the year.

You could try Ned Gallaher in Tryon (864) 457-5221.

Thanks, Seamus. Tryon is one of my favorite places. We've stayed at the Pine Crest Inn a couple of times.

I would also be curious to hear where to get a Ferrari serviced in the Charlotte area. I don't have one yet but I do have the car bug. I finally created an account here last week. One step closer to taking the plunge.

Ned was reccomended to me this weekend from another "local". Looks like he would be a good choice, but about 30 minutes from downtown.

Try contacting Jay (Skiguy348). He deals with Landrovers every day in greenville, and should know some good mechanics.

I've lived in the Asheville area for the past 4 years. When I had the 308, Ned did all of my service. He also happens to maintain two 275 GTBs that are owned by local guys and a few other classic V-12 Ferrari's. He is a wonderful mechanic, great personality, and is a superb restorer. That's his business: Gallagher Restorations. His shop is filled with all types of classic cars he's restoring. He personally owns a few racing Lotuses and a 60's V-12 Lamborghini. He's the man!!!
